Our cabin toilet is right next to our shower and has no wall, just a lot of space, on the other side of the toilet. I’m not a fan of the floor-stand TP holders. They just look a little tacky to me. I was so happy we found this suction holder. It suctioned easily onto our glass shower wall next to the toilet and looks beautiful with all the black accents and finishes in our bathroom.We moved it around a couple of times before we got it in the exact right place and it was easy to do so and held in place very well each time. Our shower glass is very smooth. Guessing it would not work well on a surface that wasn’t smooth. Tip: install it with the open end toward the back side of the toilet so when you pull the toilet paper off it won’t pull the roll off as well. It probably wouldn’t anyway, because there is a little ridge that holds on the roll, but it also just looks nicer that way, I think.

Fell apart after one month! Don’t bother, the arm is not secured into the base. Drop of glue literally holding it together

The unit has stayed suctioned onto the side of my bathtub just fine, but the part that the toilet paper slides onto has not stayed tight/in place. So the bar part moves around in a slow circle. I’ve tried tightening it but it doesn’t stay put. Still a win though

Update to the Bummer review below. After the roller fell off twice I decided to try again. This time when I turned the dial (that will make sense if you buy this) I felt a "click" which I did not get previously. I apparently did not turn the dial completely and the device did not stay on. This time it has. I love it, highly recommend.Bummer, I like to write positive reviews. This seemed like my perfect solution to my tiny bathroom. But no. It stayed up on my glass shower wall (smooth glass by the way) for about a month, just long enough to be past the return date. Tried a second time, this time is came down after three weeks. I will try again but I am pretty sure it is back to searching Amazon and throwing this is the trash. Like I said, Bummer.

Started off great but after 6 months fell off in the middle of the night. Not sure if the locking mechanism inside broke (plastic tabs) broke prior to falling off or afterward. Currently it is sticking again to the inside cabinet door but not sure how long it will stay in place and the base plate will not stay attached to the base (spins around post). Would not recommend and will have to try something else.
