No Such Thing As A Genie - My Genie and Me Series Book 1 Paperback – February 24, 2012

This is a fabulous book - I actually bought 3 of them to give to my nieces, but once I got through reading it - I loved it too !!! It's kinda like a Shrek - everyone from all ages & genres will love it - I guarantee it.This is not your typical "Genie get a Wish" story.The Authors have great imaginations & the Illustrations really take you "Down Under" to Australia.I can't wait for Book 2 to see if Jenny actually goes to the Genies Great Celebration Ceremony.Love it- Love it - Love it. !!!!!!!

My kids "love" this book!!!! about Australia and Genies - how unique.It's full of fun & fantasy and what I really like is that it has facts too, so the kids learn things as well. Even as an adult it kept my interest from start to finish. Everyone likes fairytales but we've heard them all before. This book is a new and refreshing fairytale and definitely not your typical "Genie get a wish story". We are really looking forward to Book 2 - please publish it ASAP !!!!!!!

I hope everyone gets a chance to order and read this fun first book in a series by Roo Arledge and her sister Betty Crofoot. Cute, imaginative and a good read, it will get you hooked and want more! I was so impressed with the story. I bought this for my nieces and nephews who were hooked from the beginning as we started to read! My teenagers got a hold of the the book and also absolutely loved it!!

I just purchased all three books in the My Genie And Me Series and read them to the Grandkids over the weekend. Now they are reading them on their own because they want to hear the story again and again and so do I but Grandmas have work to do. Anyway - the kids asked me when I can take them to the Movies to see Jenny and Futuna and all the Genies. I told them they haven't made a movie of it yet but I'm sure they will soon. So Movie Makers out there - support all Grandmas and make the Kids happy - please make the Movies - soon !!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this book and the second one in the series. Roo and Betty do an excellent job of following the four F's that make great kids' books - fun, fact, fiction, and fantasy. You can watch this video of Roo in her KangaRoo costume reading to the children in Mesquite, NV at the annual Festival of Trees. This new Genie Book was fun to read to my kids, a boy 6 and a girl 8.They didn't get bored or wanted to play, they just wanted me to keep reading the book.Jenny and Futuna talk like real kids, that's how my kids and their friends talk too.It has some facts about Australia, that I didn't know, so my kids and I learnt some new thingsabout this country.The story line moves quickly, so you won't get bored.My kids and I really like this book.

I purchased 2 copies of this book. One for my 2 boys and 1 for my first grade classroom. It makes for a great read aloud for young children and wonderful read for children reading at a f & p approximate level I. The story is a page turner full of adventure. Even as an adult I couldn't put it down.
