Hot Water PEX Pipe Insulation
Pipe insulation was used for heat retention in 3/4" PEX home hot water lines. Pipe is kept hot by circulation pump and return loop to water heater providing instant heat at faucets. Heat retention is ok but R-value of insulation is low, and parallel cold water lines ipick up excess heat leak from insulaiton making cold water warm. Insulation is soft and tears easily if pulled into place.

I thought it came with a split to install and it does not making installing it after pipe was already installed way more time consuming.

Great value per foot and quality product. This is a closed extrusion but can be sliced to fit over existing pipes.Fits 3/4 pex perfectly.
