What a let down.
Finally brought these bragi headphones, i was super excited to try them. When I got them set up and started listening to music they sounded good, the volume level could be a bit louder but I suppose they were loud enough that is indoors anyway. The real problem for me and for many others ive read was when you put your phone in your pocket and listen to your music it unfortunately stops playing your music it. It kept starting and stopping and was really frustrating. Obviously the Bluetooth wasn't strong enough to allow your phone to be in your pocket which to me was ridiculous. I had to take my phone out my pocket to listen to my music then you had another problem THE WIND. Listening to music on a windy day just ruined my listening experience I can't tell you how disappointed I was with this product. For £250 they were no where near good enough. Personally I'd wait untill some of the other top brand company's release there wireless headphones and do your research beforehandI hope this gives you all a little insight before buying these.

Good headphones that do (most) of what they promise. Ongoing software improvements are a bit plus! Production quality is poor.
EDIT: The white plastic of the headphones started cracking 2 days into owning them. I am returning them since it seems to be a production problem, not just a one off issue.I have just purchased the White Dash and immediately updated it to 2.0. Unfortunately, this means I cannot use them with my Apple Watch, since Bragi have changed how the BT authenticates, but apparently a fix for that is coming. Now on to the observations after a couple of days:- the BT reception is definitely much more sensitive than with my previous BT headphones (Powerbeats 2 Wireless), but it is nowhere near as problematic as some people make it seem.- I can have my phone in my (right) pocket (haven't tried the left, since it is not where I normally put my phone anyway) and listen to music without any cutouts. I only experience a skip or two when pulling the phone out of the pocket, as that is when my hand covers the phone completely. Otherwise no complains about connectivity.- The buds can only connect to one audio device at a time, and do not dynamically switch to the latest device that attempts to connect. What I mean by that is that you can only connect from a new device (paired or not) after the previous device has released the connection. On one hand this is nice, since devices can't hijack an active connection, but it also means you always have to disconnect (not unpair) the current device before connecting from a new one.- The Dashes that I received have two discoloured (black) spots in the plastic, but that is a pretty minor cosmetic problem. The production finish could definitely be a bit higher.- The touch controls can be a bit finicky, but works for the most part.

Bad Bluetooth Range and A Quiet Left Headphone
Upon first opening these headphones there are a lot of things to like. The box is beautifully designed, as are the headphones and case. Everything about it looks and feels great. The headphones automatically turning themselves off when they are put in the case is neat, as is the fact that they automatically pause when you take the right headphone out of your ear. The audio quality is nothing special, but it's not too bad. The app is well made, and the amount of customization you can do in it is nice.Sadly, I quickly discovered two major problems that make this product unusable for me. Firstly, as a huge number of reviewers have pointed out, the bluetooth range is absolutely terrible. It's passable indoors, but as soon as you go outside and there are no walls to reflect the bluetooth signal there are constant dropouts. The second issue I had was that there was a significant volume difference between both earbuds. The left earbud was significantly quieter than the right. These two issues might have been acceptable if these headphones cost £100, but for more than £250 I expected a lot more.

These are much better than your average bluetooth earphones
These are much better than your average bluetooth earphones, and they have extra added features as well. I would recommend.

A glimpse of the future redeemed by several software updates
What follows is quite a long review; so my conclusion first. When they arrived 5 months ago; the Dash were definitely not worth the money - they were barely usable. They weren't ready for the market. In those five months Bragi have delivered 3 updates that have redeemed the concept whilst adding new features to the headphones. Thankfully the first update came soon in my ownership and did a lot of improve the bluetooth reception. The fit in the ear is tailorable and excellent - these headphones don't fall out unless you really push it. They don't sound as good as headphones at this price do - they do sound far better than the headphones you get with a device. These aren't just headphones they offer gesture driven response for things like answering the phone, fitness trackers for land and water and a signpost to what the digital future can be. In September when i bought them i would have given them 2 stars; the software updates have dragged this up to 4. I wish the battery life and bluetooth signal reception were both a little stronger; also i long for active noise cancelling to be added. My Bragi History----------------------I bought my Bragi Dash five months ago just before the end of the headphone jack was declared by Apple. I have held of reviewing them; at the time i bought them I really wanted to buy Bose SoundSport as I love my quiet comforts on the plane and just wanted a set of cordless headphones for the rest of the time. part of the delay in reviewing them was my desire to still try the bose headphones; I have now and they were beyond underwhelming after life with Bragi; suffering from noise leakage and a cable that ended up lost in my shirt collars all the time.Opening the Bragi Dash is an experience; the packaging is simply outstanding; a large folding out cardboard book explaining how they work and how to get use to them. In the box were some stickers, the charging dock and an aluminium sleeve, a very short usb cable, the headphones and some different size sleeves to size the headphones. The sound of the headphones is nice and neutral - they don't sound as good as a pure headphone at this price should; but Bragi would argue these are more than just headphones. The first thing you need to do is get the fit right; in the box are 3 sets of sleeves; that wrap around the body of the headphones increasing the size so they stay in your ear better - they come with just the small tips fitted and size each ear out separately until you find the best fit. The fit for me was excellent; and its difficult to knock them out. Each of the sleeve sizes them has a silicone diaphragm that acts to block out some ambient noise - they arent as good as my Bose QCs especially on a train; but they do a good job in most situations - so much so there is a transparency mode that activates some microphones on the outside and broadcast things to your ear. This is great; but as you can remove the left speaker and the right keeps working i think its more polite to do that.Bragi bill the dash as wearables and they deliver a large number of features that i hadn't seen in headphones before; they can take your pulse through the ear - and on an iPhone add that data to the apple healthkit app. They can measure steps reasonably well; best of all they are waterproof (to 1m - so don't let them fall out when swimming) and you can wear them whilst swimming. As you cant really take your phone into the pool; the 4gb of internal storage that lets you upload music and podcasts to them and listen without a bluetooth source. I don't use the land fitness activities as much as the swimming one and it is impressive - measuring laps and breaths as well as your pulse as you go and auditing it into the app - all whilst keeping you entertained. All this tech in the tiny size drains the battery though; it lasts 3-4 hours before you need to recharge it. You do that with the included recharging case; which can charge the headphones 5 times before needing recharging itself. It charges them up in about 30 minutes.Connecting them to your phone is done bluetooth from the right ear bud; apple made out this is onerous but it really isn't; and once you have done it once you don't need to do it again. The right hand side of the bragi dash connect to your phone and then separately broadcast the signal to your left year - the sound remains in sync really well. The first bad experience when they arrived was the bluetooth signal was terrible - to the point putting a phone in the left pocket blocked the signal to the right ear bud; leaving it in the left pocket it worked fine. The dash were the first headphones I have done software upgrades too; and over the last few updates the headphones signal has been improved and is now usable in most all circumstances. You control the music from the right ear bud on a touch sensitive section for volume, moving tracks or activating siri. The left speaker ear bud controls activities. You can use the headphones for making phone calls; there are bone conduction microphones on the inside - callers report that the volume is often muted. Pushing the earbuds into your ear helps; generally though they work better than external microphones on cables that rub on clothes. The in ear microphone also allows for weather resistance. It definitely doesn't sound as good as the microphones on my phone under most all circumstances.

BEWARE: Poor quality control and no support = you’re likely to waste your money and be very frustrated if you buy these!
First off, I’m so disappointed I have to write this review. I have owned my Bragi Dash (black) from the early days after I crowdfunded them on Kickstarter. I probably waited two years to get them, and although my first pair didn’t work, after a fairly frustrating customer service experience, I got a new pair and they have worked well for several years. I would say the best truly waterproof earbuds I’ve owned. Now, on to the problems...the company is small and it’s painfully obvious that they can’t keep up with their customer support. As mentioned, I had massive communication delays in getting my original pair replaced...maybe there was a big time difference between east coast US and where they’re located in Europe, I don’t know for sure, but when you get a new product and you have to get support via multiple day emails, it just feels very slow and unprofessional, not to mention massively frustrating. When my wife asked for wireless headphones for Xmas this year, I thought immediately of the white Bragi Dash. I purchased these on Amazon, and the first pair was DOA. The right earbud never worked and didn’t sync with the left earbud, so they just wouldn’t connect, despite another multi-day troubleshooting process with what is apparently still a very small customer service effort. So I returned that pair to Amazon and decided, foolishy I guess, to buy a replacement on Amazon. (I guess the saying “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me” is very applicable here.) The new pair syncs left and right, and even connects with my bluetooth music source. Great, right? Not so fast...neither is touch responsive in order to change the volume (right earbud), activate touch lock (requires tapping both left and right earbuds at the same time), or other activities where touch is needed. I reached out to their customer service this morning...probably about 10 hours ago...and still no response. I get that they can be swamped given demand for their product (or maybe because of poor quality control), but then invest in more customer service. In this day and age, it’s just not acceptable to be unresponsive to one’s customers. It will hurt them, and in my case, they lost a customer. I will return this pair to Amazon and buy, ugh, Apple’s wireless earbuds. At least I know Apple will stand by their product, and that the product’s QC is much better and will work when I want to use it.
