After waking up in the morning, the first thing I do is drink some water.And then I shake up myself an Amino Energy drink, mixed with plain water, and 2 scoops, as per the product recommendation.It's better than any tea or coffee out there for waking you up instantly in my opinion, and definitely helps me feel instantly alive and ready for a run or a workout.It has a great amino profile, which acts as the perfect pre workout drink in my opinion (none of that jittery/digestive issues with this one). Haven't really tried it as a post-workout drink, but I'm sure it delivers when consumed after a workout as well.The Lemon Lime flavour is sublime, as is the Watermelon, and Blueberry.Highly recommended!

I started using this product as a pre-workout supplement and it works brilliantly.Give me an instant energy boost that gives me that edge during my workout.It mixes easily and tastes delicious.I definitely recommend this for anyone who wants that extra boost for a training session

I needed a pre-workout supplement that wouldn't raise my blood pressure too much. I'd been taking a supplement with creatine in which gave me higher than normal blood pressure.This supplement is pretty good, It has the amino acids and caffeine which I wanted. It hasn't made me jittery or prevented me from going to sleep. I wasn't sure about the Taurine, but it hasn't caused any ill effects that I can see.The taste of the Lemon and Lime one is pretty awful though, unless you like Lemsip :-(

Fit For PurposeI bought this product to give me an extra kick of energy at the end of a long day at work before going to the gym as I often feel tired/drained after working all day. I opted for optimum nutrition because I am aware that it is a good brand. I have never had a pre workout before so I didn't want to spend too much money which is why I went for the orange flavour (it was one of the cheaper flavours at the time). I think this was a mistake on my part because I am not too keen on this flavour at all which has put me off using it too often. It is perfectly fine to drink and it is not in any way horrible to taste but I just think I would have enjoyed other flavours more. As for its effects as a pre workout, I am not wholly convinced. I do not feel as though it really gives me any more energy than a piece of fruit or a strong green tea. My boyfriend has suggested having it first thing in the morning before having eaten anything else as he thinks it is more effective on an empty stomach!
