Koss"The Plug Noise" Isolating In-Ear Headphones (3.5 mm Jack) for iPhone/iPad/iPod/MP3 Players/Samsung/Smartphones - Black

This is the third pair of these Koss earphones that I’ve owned over a number of years. They are a really good overall sound with excellent bottom end. Sturdy and comfortable to wear. Would definitely recommend.

I wanted some earphones that I could wear when riding my motorcycle. I had tried quite a few and all had their issues. I have to say these are pretty much perfect.The sound quality is good, I can turn my iphone volume down to 30% and still hear good sound at motorway speeds. This results in precious battery life savings.They go right into your ears and expand to fit, just like earplugs I would normally wear under my helmet to reduce wind noise, this means they stay in place when you put your helmet on and stay in place when you are doing pretty much anything.Finally, they cost a tenner...unbelievably good value.A couple of minor negativesThe expandable foam does not last forever, and to keep a snug fit, the foam buds need replacing every few months (I wear them daily) One set of replacement buds is provided.As with a lot of cheap headphones, the wire connections are a bit flimsy, and one set has failed where the wire joins the jackplug, but the vendor agreed to replace them with no arguments.*** Update to this review April 2013 *** The cable has failed again at the same point, where it joins the 3.5mm jack. This is obviously a design flaw.

I've owned four or five pairs of these headphones and I swore I would never buy any others. I find them incredibly comfortable and for the price, the sound is excellent. The problem is that Koss have recently changed the design of the jack and the cable is a bit flimsy. The last two pairs I have owned have stopped working in one ear after about 6 months. I have realy taken care of them, even unplugging them when i'm not using my ipod, so they don't get kinked near the jack. It's a real shame but I won't be buying them again.

These are my third or fourth set of "Plugs", and I still can't see me buying anything else for commuting with.The Good points: Light, cheap and superb for rock music, you just need bass boost as they have the best treble response around! Classical and spoken are both nice and smooth. I'm lucky enough to have the right shape ears for them, and I've never had a problem with them falling out. The main plus point here is that with the right shaped ears, these really do shut out all extraneous sounds.The bad points are the cable and connector. I've had these with both the straight and right angle connector, and neither are as durable as I'd like, usually lasting 9-12 months. The other thing I find really annoying is the feel of the cable. Originally is was silky smooth, but recent cables have been relatively sticky. Who care's, I hear you ask? The cable sticks to your clothes, and mine keep pulling the plugs out of my ears!In all, though, these sound so good I won't give them up. They make commuting in London almost bearable.

These headphones are great for casual listening of music. However, they produce a VERY different sound to what you will be used to with regular headphones of this price band. Basically, they need a little EQ to sound amazing, but work well without.Being a sound engineer, I need headphones that can produce a wide range of sound, from low end to tops. The good thing about these headphones is they do have the capability to produce that range, but you need to coax it out of them a bit, otherwise it sounds very muddy. Personally, for the main equipment I use this with, I needed to boost 40Hz a considerable amount, and also add some of the vocal ranges back in, between 2k and 7k.This produces the best sound I have ever heard out of headphones at this price, and I would say these are worth far and away more than what you pay for them.

I am a long-time user of these phones, but am surprised and disappointed by the recent deterioration in their quality.The first two pairs, purchased a few years ago, were wonderful. Excellent sound quality with great bass response, they were comfortable and excluded most exterior sounds. These phones were great value for money.Then in late 2009 I got a third pair and noticed two differences - the jack plug had changed from a strong 'L' shape (as illustrated in the main picture for the product) to a much weaker straight connection. Secondly the sound quality was very tinny, much worse than before. It was as if I had been listening to FM radio, and these were producing only AM sound quality.The only use I found for them was as a plaything for the cat.Recently I took a gamble and purchased another pair, only to be disappointed once more. Compared to what they were like a couple of years ago, the current model is a sub-standard product.I can only guess at why this is happening - are Koss deliberately trying to steer customers away from these onto their more expensive models, or (as hinted at by an earlier reviewer) are they being faked?Either way I will not be buying again. If any recent purchasers disagree with this, or have received products with the 'L' shaped jack perhaps they would post a comment - if these are being faked I'm sure Amazon would like to know.

The best thing about this product are the ear tips, I wish they made these to fit other earbuds, if the tips were universal fitting I wouldn’t return the product.The wire used for the product are like the thin free things you get in Economy class flights or European trains so it’s hard to pin point if it’s the earbuds or the wire that is the issue, but the overall sound signature is muddled. It sounds muffled and unclear, non of the sounds are distinct, they all blend into each other. Mids, treble are lacking, the bass goes low but lacks control. Aside from low bass they are little better than free buds.

Tienen muy buen sonido: no me gusta ecualizar la música prefiero que los graves sean"naturales" y con estos audifonos se cumple al cien ya que su cámara de resonancia los aumenta sin tener que tocar el Eq, él conector es tipo L chapado en oro.El tipo de almohadilla es mil veces mejor que la de cualquier inear ya que esta hecha de memory foam y aísla muy bien y no incomoda.Un poco frágil el cable pero hasta ahora no se ha dañado.Desde ahora estos son mis audífonos inear definitivos.

Gostei da qualidade do som e alto e conforto nos fones na orelha. O que eu não gostei é que parece os fios serem um pouco frágeis e a borracha dos fones.

Um clássico. Excelente qualidade de som. Apesar de ser com fios, é melhor que a grande maioria de fone bluetoth. Recomendo.

Słuchawki charakteryzują się dobrą jakością dźwięku, niewiele ustępują kilkukrotnie droższym słuchawkom studyjnym. Dół pasma bardzo wyrazisty, środek także bez zastrzerzeń. Góra pasma nieco przytłumiona i tu mogło by być trochę lepiej. Nie zmienia to faktu, że brzmią najlepiej spośród słuchawek w tej kategorii cenowej. Co do jakości wykonania, to kabelki mogłyby być grubsze. Te zastosowane tutaj, sprawiają wrażenie że za jakiś czas się urwią. Ogólnie polecam.

Los cables son finísimos y poco flexibles, que a nadie se le ocurra guardarlos en el bolsillo.Los auriculares son de plástico y las almohadillas de foam. Esto último, cuestión de gustos.Me llamaron la atención muchas reseñas que hablaban de buenos graves. En fin, los graves se oyen; aunque no se pueda decir lo mismo de los agudos.Eso sí, mejoran si escuchas podcast hablados.Si usas alguna aplicación que amplifique algunas frecuencias o das con una buena ecualización, podrán mejorar, pero no podrás decir que se oyen bien.Deben existir alternativas mejores por este precio.
