Best gold on the market!
This is hands-down my favourite gold to work with. I use this for pointed pen, and it requires no watering down or gum thickening, even on textured paper or cotton rag. The colour is beautiful! Very shiny, and the perfect warm gold for any project.

Stunning ink, never buying a different brand ever again!
I've used many different gold inks, but now I've discovered this one, I'm never buying another brand ever again. The consistency is beautiful, the results stunning and it just behaves itself really well. Whether applied with a brush or a nib, it just does what I want it to and looks incredibly professional. Just remember to shake the bottle really vigorously every time. It does seperate and settle, but once it's been properly shaken, it's fine.

Delicious :P
The media could not be loaded. I'm still struggling to get this to work with my dip pen.*edit Have tried this with a bigger nib and it works perfectly!*I've resorted to using the teeeeeniest tiniest brush I could find. You really need to shake it thoroughly before you use it as the contents do settle. It goes onto the paper fantastically (with a brush) dries fast and looks glorious.I think it might be my new favourite art thing.\

Excellent Ink, Shake Well Before Usage
The dropper works well, and the ink itself is beautiful. The ink is brown and watery when opened, so make sure to give the pot a good shake before using to reintroduce the copperplate gold particulates. Wonderful, high-quality ink that I will be reordering when I use it all. 5/5!

Nice shiny gold dip ink!
I used this with a feather dip flex nib (cos that's the dip pen I have at the moment) and this is such a beautiful ink to write cards with! When mixed thoroughly (just shake for a couple of minutes max) the ink flows really nicely. It's thick but can be well controlled and when it dries, can leave what looks like a gold embossed font (depending on how thick the ink applied is).The ink is relatively resistant to smudging or being scratched off, and waterproof as well.

A must have.
Absolutely beautiful product. Completely in love with it. It does need a good shake before use and if being used for a long period needs reshaking. But the effect of the ink is absolutely worth it.I use it for dip quill calligraphy and it's wonderful on all the different papers I've tried it on, without bleeding. The one downside is that I've used my older inks and they're terrible in comparison!I will be getting the full collection of the inks as soon as I can afford them.

Perfect for me!
The media could not be loaded. I’m no expert with calligraphy but I decided to do my wedding save the dates myself as it’s something I enjoy. The gold is a lovely colour and gives a nice iridescent sheen. I can’t compare the product to anything as I haven’t used something like it before but it’s perfect for me, easy to use and nice finish.

Beautiful colour
I liked the price, and the ink proved to be very beautiful in colour, it has a slight hint of copper hue in it and the consistency of the ink is very smooth. I used it to paint on carved stone with a fine brush. I have not used it for writing, but I think it would be perfect.

True-Gold Colour, Opaque on Light and Dark Background, Waterproof
Once again, Dr. Ph Martin's does not disappoint! I have been using this ink for about a year, and I have now just finished a little more than half of the bottle. The ink is gold, dries with a slightly elevated texture, and does not have glitter particles that make so many gold inks appear fake. I use this ink both for coloring doodles and calligraphy (the main reason I use it), and have been impressed with how smooth it writes on smooth and textured papers with both large and small nibs. This ink is NOT FOR FOUNTAIN PENS and as all metallic inks REQUIRES CONSTANT MIXING WHEN WRITING FOR LARGE PERIODS, so if you have a large envelope job, I would reccomend getting an ink stirrer so that you do not waste time mixing the ink. If the ink looks dark brown and watery, do not be surprised as this is normal with metallic inks which are usually suspended pigments and particles. Simply shake the bottle vigorously and voila! It is ready to use. I have not experienced the ink becoming moldy or smelling weird, and I use the dropper to put the ink directly on my nibs. If prefered, the ink may also be transferred to a dinky dip using its dropper. However, the opening is too small to dip a pen, which is why its lid is a dropper and also why it does not mold. I must caution that because the ink separates, the dropper can get clogged and spill ink all over you, your desk, and your work if you use pressure to unclog the dropper. So if your purchase this product, make sure that you keep the plunger and bottle neck clean. Finally, to remove the ink from my nibs, I use 50% isopropyl alcohol solution and clean my nibs every few minutes and as soon as I have finished writing, because once it dries, it is nearly impossible to remove, even with acetone and dish soap.
