Does the gel contain any wax?

Medi honey was used by health professionals when I had an ulcer on my foot. No idea if it contains wax but would certainly recommend it as an aid to healing.

can this be used on intimate areas ? ie; bottom area after an op?

Yes its very mild. Use it in conjunction with a pad so it doesnt go everywhere.

Can this be used on inflamed,red itchy skin??

I really dont know but the best thing is to try it. Honey is a natural product and it shouldnt do any harm but I am not a medical person. Calamine lotion, Aloe Vera gel or lavender oil might be of help on your skin, or ask your doctor.

once opened how long can this be used for ?

As long as the lid is on I’ve used over a year after opening and it was fine
