We have had several vacuum sealers over the years. This so far is husbands favourite. If you are considering one, don’t hesitated they are are a big money saver.

I've had this almost a year now and it's one of my favourite kitchen gadgets, and gets used loads.It comes with a roll bag that you can use to make your own sized bag, or you can use the pre cut bags that come with it. It's easy to use and has either manual or pre-set buttons for vacuuming and sealing your food bags.A great gadget for batch cooking!Much easier to store bags in the freezer than plastic containers or normal food bags which end up in a lump. Saves space, and easy to see what you have. Stops food getting ice crystals or freezer burn and once defrosted the food slides out without having to squidge it down the bag.Also great for storing salads and things like guacamole which go brown quickly when the air get to them. You can make a bigger portion of these types of food and portion up into bags to last over a few days in the fridge instead of chucking it out when it goes brown.It's a good size, I store mine on top of the microwave which keeps it off the kitchen bench and easy to access. I thought keeping the bit of cardboard in to prop up the lid would be a bit of a pain but it's not really a problem.Would recommend!

The machine motor burned out, then the sealing option started smoking when in use, this happened after 8 months of sporadic use. Amazon told us to contact manufacturer. The manufacturer ignored our emails and requests to fix it. Do not recommend this product. I can add that the motor is covered with a sponge to stop the vibrations from the pump. This inevitably causes the motor to overheat and cease to function. Additionally silicone tube for one of the release buttons on the left is kinked leading to faults. Also there is no overheat protection on the heater strip which caused the unit to overrun the heater and started smoking
