Not the cheapest but worth it
Bought these for my 9 year old who loves them. They are not the cheapest when it comes to shin guard socks but the quality, extra protection / comfort make them worthwhile. Shin pads stay in exact place you need them, rather than dropping down or moving around the leg. Early days but I expect them to last well.

Great design and fit
I got the small youth for my 7 year old who was constantly getting his ankles kicked playing defence. The traditional shin guards with ankle protection were too bulky and irritated/distracted him when playing. Being 7 he is quite skinny so was not sure these would fit but they are perfect. Slightly more expensive than other shin guards but they are a good fit and elasticated so he should get a few years out of them. Great design, glad I took the risk to get them.

Shin Guard Sleeves - Total Protection
Superb product that adds additional ankle and calf protection to the slip-in shinpads. My 9 yr old has used these for 2 years now and he wouldn't wear anything else.As you can also put these in the wash this is a godsend after using them 4 or five times a week!

Pluss- Very comfortable, negative- a bit worried if I pull them too much they'll break. Overall not sure there worth the price

Great item to protect against knocks
Fits well and holds shin pads in place. The light padding against the against and side of leg help provide some protection against knocks, but they won’t stop a full on tackle with studs. Something is better than nothing

Excellent leg guards
These provide protection but are flexible and pretty comfortable. Wider shin pads might not fit in the slip-in pocket but can always be worn over the leg guard, underneath a long sock.

Pricey, but comfy enough. Not really suitable for heavy challenges.
As far as lower leg protection goes for football, this is on the pricey side without giving the confidence that a hard plastic ankle protector would give.They are Left/Right sided with the protection only on 1 side of each sleeve, but there is no direction which leg to wear them on - so it’s your choice.I am an athletic size adult male, and the large size fits, but isn’t tight around your calf and ankle so if I bought these again (not sure I would), then I would probably go with a medium size as this would provide almost a compression fit too.
