Amazing!!! So much better than the intex pro
So I used to have a hard shell pelican kayak- but due to space limitations had to sell it. I have been using just my inflatable paddleboard for awhile but really missed kayaking! I’ve been out on the inter coastal waterway, mostly lake worth lagoon, and the waves and wind are bit too much at times to SUP for me, plus I thought it would be nice to have a second boat for friends and family. I first purchased an Intex excursion pro inflatable kayak, because it had mostly good reviews, and was one of the few with a foot rest. I was terribly disappointed and had to return it. It was basically a pool toy and was not at all sturdy or stable.I did a bit of research and settled on this GoPlus boat instead, and Wow! It is everything I could want and more! I’m super impressed with the quality for the price, it is just as good as my inflatable paddleboard I paid 3X as much for… in fact it’s better. It inflates to a high PSI- 15psi to be exact, if you need… but I find 11-12psi sufficient. It has high quality inflation valves, so I can use the same car air pump to automatically inflate this that I use for my iSUP. Being 8” thick it will hold a lot of weight and is very sturdy. The drop-stitching looks good- you can see the small stitch dimples when inflated and there are many, close together which is what you want.. kinda equivalent to high thread count- more the better! The “cockpit” with the floor inflated and inserted is more than sufficiently deep to feel secure in and I didn’t get much water in the boat when paddling which is perfect! But even if you do, it’s easy to get to shore or a sand bar and dump the water out. The floor piece you insert then inflate is also dropstitched so it is near rock hard when pumped up to the right psi. You could easily stand in the cockpit it’s that solid. I love this, because it makes getting in and out of the boat a ton easier than getting in and out of the crummy low pressure inflatables. It’s easier to get on in the water than my paddleboard too, and it’s really stable in the water! The foot rest it comes with is perfect, stays put (the one on the intex kayak moved too much and wasn’t as good a design). I can see someone very tall- maybe 6foot just using the far edge of the cockpit as their foot rest, I’m 5’5” and have it on the farthest adjustment slot.As you can see in my pic, I upgraded the seat to an inflatable one, as I wanted to be a little off the floor of the kayak- I got it here on Amazon for like $40-50… i highly recommend this upgrade, however the seat it comes with is sufficient, and a cheap PFd/boat seat cushion would also work under the included seat to lift you up for a lot less$$.I wasn’t a fan of the paddle, it seemed a bit heavy, and the blades are shaped to be more efficient for a SUP paddle, not a kayak paddle, and the attachment thing was in the way of my grip. As I already had a kayak paddle I like- not really an issue for me. But you can find decent ones on sale at times for $25-50 and up depending on what you want. The fin is solid, easy to install, I was worried it might come loose but I had no issues with that, it stayed attached, even dragged it a bit through some shallow water/sand, no issues there. I’ve left it inflated for 24h, no pressure loss. The seams are all well made and I suspect this will last many many years to come. I’ve had my iSup over 10 years now- it was one of the first ones on the market, I’ve only patched it once. From what I can tell, if taken care of, this GoPlus boat should last just as well. The only missing feature is a handle to carry in the center if you are trying to carry it alone (my paddleboard has a center carry handle that makes it easier to carry alone), but I found I can use an old duffel bag shoulder strap and clip it to the D-rings and that works.Overall, I recommend this boat, I’ll probably end up using it more than my iSup. So happy with this purchase!!A heads up for those looking to paddle with their dog- small dog would prob be ok, but a bigger dog won’t fit, there’s not enough “deck” room for a dog bigger than like a french bulldog, and you will need to install a deck pad for your pet as well.Happy paddling!

Kids love it
Took it out and the kids loved it. 3 kids on it at one time. No issues. I enjoyed it as well. Standing, kneeling or with the seat. Tried it out all three ways. Easy to set up. Moves in the water nicely. Quick to pack back up as well.

Defective
The media could not be loaded. I hadn't had a chance to take it out and when I did I was very disappointed. The kayak had air leaks in two area's. I used an air pump and inflated the kayak to the max capacity. The cap is twisted on correctly and the air is leaking out of the seams.

Must buy!
I must admit I was skeptical about buying a blow up kayak and my husband was a big NO on the idea but we were both surprised with this purchase! You would never know it’s a blow up kayak. It is more stable than my husbands hard shell kayak. I put it through all of the tests…I got on my knees and paddled and could even stand up and use it as a paddle board. I am also pleased with how it all packs right up into the bag and I can carry it with no problems. Not only is it a work out but it’s fun and I spend every moment I can out on the water now!
