Beautifully detailed
This book is HUGE - not so much a coffee-table book as a coffee-table - and it weighs as much as a slab of wood, but you certainly get your money's worth. The quality is just superb - as you would like to expect from anything connected to Ray and Charles Eames - and the sizeable, glossy pages are packed with wonderful photos and informative text that will provide pleasurable viewing for a lifetime. if you have any interest whatsoever in the Eames world then this really is an essential purchase.

It is what it says on the tin
This is a beautiful book: a collection of images which depict the Eames' philosophy and joie de vivre. The pages of text interspersed between the pages of images provide a commentary rather than a continuous narrative. If you already admire and enjoy their work and perhaps own some of their pieces, you will love every page and will find It is worth the money alone for the Charles' illustrated letter of proposal to Ray.Perhaps the greatest warning is that it is thick, large format and very...very heavy. (a lot of case-bound book for your money) You need to look at it sitting at a table with the end boards supported. My copy arrived in perfect condition; securely packaged in a large box.

An excellent introduction to the Eameses
This is a fabulous book to dip into: anecdotes from the Eameses, members of their family, friends and colleagues with pictures to inspire you. A good first book to lead you into their world.

Quality wasn't best - there was some slight wear and tear
Nice book, heavy and makes for a great coffee table book - gift for designersQUality wasn't excellent, felt like the book had either gone through some difficult time or was maybe used and re-packaged? It wasn't bad, but you can sort of feel it isn't brand brand new
