Very easy to prepare. Just add hot water, flavor is good and salt content is not very high. Will buy again.

Love this product! Instant delicious miso soup, just add hot water. This is freeze dried little pucks that instantly dissolve in hot water. All the vegetables and tofu are normal sized and big enough to actually chew. Delicious way to have a quick snack at work.

The media could not be loaded. At the time of my purchase, this Miko brand freeze-dried soup was 9.82.It seems to have gone to 10.20 as of this review.I tested this soup against the trendy, way more expensive Tsubi brand, and I tried them both at the same time.Both were the eggplant variety.Both came in a small freeze-dried brick. Both only make approx 3/4 cup of soup, if made per package directions.This seems to be a rather small amount. Anything less than a cup is pretty stingy, in my opinion. So, I did knock one star off for this lameness!However, I can unequivocally state that I really preferred the taste of this less expensive soup over the more costly other brand.The Miko also had a few more chunks of eggplant, that plump up nicely upon rehydration, plus some seaweed, which make it more visually pleasing to me, and also offers a flavor more similar to my local Japanese restaurants.The flavor is more savory in the Miko brand.It has a delicious, light fragrance.I tried both made as directed, but then added extra water, a bit of soy sauce and sesame oil, to stretch it out a bit. Yummy!So, to me, this is a much better value, for a flavor I prefer. I will purchase this again!

I absolutely love me so soup and this is one of the best ones at home that I have tried. I also think it’s really good value for money. The quality of ingredients is amazing and you can see big pieces of vegetables and tofu.

I like the product; but they make it in China and has a warning that it might contain cadmium and another metal. They also make miso in Japan that does not have this warning. That is what i got next; this tastes good and i feel is safer.

This broth is excellent. I have gastrointestinal diseases and have to rely on broth quite a bit. Unfortunately it does not contain much protein or collagen. I added a scoop myself. But the taste is excellent and I highly recommend it.

I have tried a variety of dried options and they all fail to be as good as a restaurant or have a weird taste. I was very hopeful a freeze dried option would be better and they totally are better! The tofu one was so good, expect the tofu pieces were too salty. The eggplant one is also yummy! If your a miso soup lover, absolutely try these packets!
