Great at-home toning mask for blondes!
I'm a big fan of GDY and was excited to try their latest line, DYEposit I've been waiting on GDY to make some sort of toning products for blonde hair and am thrilled with my results from using the Platinum version. This stuff works!! It smells so nice and feels really good on my hair! I think it's a great product to get to platinum and maintain it. It's also great that it's filled with nourishing ingredients that make it hair friendly too.My Experience With GDY DYEposit Platinum:I did a quick mix of shampoo and a drop of GDY's "Stoned Pony" (Lavendar) dye to make a purple shampoo before I applied to get some of my yellow out; because a hairdresser friend scared me that it may turn out green; but in hindsight, it gave me very light pink/purple ends. I probably could've skipped this step; since I know the Platinum DYEposit is meant to cancel out the brassy tones left in your hair after bleaching. I won't be doing this step moving forward in my next refresh. I had *just* gotten all my blue dye out, so I wanted to be extra careful since Platinum is blue based.I left it on my hair for about 6 minutes because I didn't want to accidentally dye my hair blue or green. Luckily it worked well on my ends, but I should have left it on longer for my mids and roots. The next day I did another round for about 4 minutes and after I washed it out, my hair looked the perfect platinum blonde! When I do a refresh, I'm going to go for the full 10 minutes and see how it does.I would say anyone trying to go platinum; it's important to get your hair as light as possible - it's recommended that it only works on a level 10 blonde. If it's not that light - you may end up turning your hair a muddy brown or even slightly green if your hair is more golden/yellow. I had some areas in my roots that aren't exactly a level 10, but the platinum seemed to neutralize them a bit (they're still orange but have some of the brassiness is toned down), so it blends really nicely actually!I'm writing this review about 5 days after my last treatment and my hair is still pretty platinum. I can notice a bit of fade out in warmer lights, but otherwise, I still feel good about the color. I'm going to do a refresh in a couple of days and I may update this review based on those results. But yes, if you have Level 10 Blonde hair and want to go platinum - this would be an awesome product to try!!

I’m a professional stylist, this color is great.
I’ve never written a review on Amazon EVER. this is my first. I’m a professional stylist and this color is just as good if not better than anything I can purchase professionally. The instructions are a bit juvenile but that shouldn’t detour you from using it. This color will stain your skin so be sure to wear gloves and apply vasoline around your hairline. This is Semi permanent so you don’t need a developer. I have found this last longer than most so called permanent hair colors. Be sure to choose the color you want because that’s the color you’ll end up with if your hair is prelightened. If you’re unsure about the color and how bright it is do a strand test If you find the color is a bit bright for you add it to conditioner, you will need a little water as well. Shake up the color conditioner, and water until mixed well. If you’re using this method I’d probably leave it on for 2+ hours with a shower cap. To make sure you’ve reached the level of color you want do a strand rinse test, if it’s not the color you want leave it on longer or add more color to the conditioner mix. This color is very pigmented and will last a good 2* months with normal washing and a good sulfate, paraben shampoo. A low poo works best on color treated hair.If you want to remove the color buy some vitamin C powder and add equal amounts of it to a harsh shampoo like Prell or Head and shoulders apple scent. Leave on for 30-45 min rinse repeat if you want more color taken out. Also rinse hair with cold water after coloring. This will help lock in the color. Hope this review will help some budding home stylist have fun with hair color and not be afraid to try a big bold color.

Not vibrant
Although this product does leave your hair hydrated and silky. I find that it didn’t deposit color well. For someone who has used the other products without issue, I was disappointed by this to say the least. The bottle itself is stiff to use, so if you’re showering it harder to squeeze out and apply to your hair. Probably won’t buy again since I didn’t get the end result I wanted.

Amazing copper hair colour refresher!
I swear by this for my coppery red hair! It’s an amazing refresher of colour and just helps with dullness! I use it every other wash or sometimes just when I feel like my hair needs a boost! Love the scent and the conditioning aspect of it! I do wish the bottle cap was a bit less messy though! A pump would be cool!

Trial and error
This product is difficult to get just right. When you do, it’s a beautiful color, but not a ton of pigment, and it does leave my hair super soft. I bought it to refresh my orange color since I have to wash my hair frequently. The first time I used it, I made sure my hair was lightly damp (NOT wet) and left it on for 15 minutes like the package said. The color difference was very subtle. The next time I left it on for 30 minutes and noticed the color was a little more vibrant but I think my hair was too wet because the color was a little uneven. Hopefully third time will be the charm! Even though the results haven’t been exactly what I was expecting, I still received compliments on the color.UPDATE: Ignore the package instructions. If you use on clean, DRY hair and leave on for ~1 hour, then you’ll get color results similar to what’s shown in the pictures on their website. It will take more product to saturate dry hair than damp, but it’s worth it.
