Built 5193245 Insulated Travel Mug/Vacuum Flask, Stainless Steel, Mint, 565 ml (20 oz)

This is my second Built travel mug and I love them. It keeps my tea warm for 6-8 hours, I just have to remember to leave the drinking spout open if I want to drink it earlier than that to give it time to cool down. It also holds at least 500mls, this combined with the fact the liquid stays warm for ages means you don’t have to worry about drinking your tea within a certain time limit. You can fill it up in the morning and sip throughout the day.It is not leakproof due to the design of the lid, if you knock it over the liquid will come out but at a much slower rate than from a normal cup/mug.It is easy to clean, however, the only drawback I can see to this mug is due to its clever lid design where the two lids swivel to allow you to open/close the lid, the pivot join is quite flimsy. The two lids need to be pulled apart for cleaning and this weakens the flimsy joining catch between the lids. The catch broke on my last Built mug, hence the need for this replacement.They are quite pricey but for the length of time hot drinks stay hot for with only a pleasant warming to the outside of the mug, I think they are well worth £10 or thereabouts

Seems to be good quality. Easy to clean cup, lid a bit more difficult. As has been said lid is not leak proof. Holds the heat very well, even without the lid.Flavour wise not quite as good a china cup in the shop but does compensate by keeping the drink warmer.Good way to earn extra stars at costa for using your own mug. Overall does the job well at a good price.

I already have one of these in a metallic finish that I purchased elsewhere a couple of years ago that keeps my drinks hot for hours so when I saw this funky yellow one and half the price I paid for my other cup I was pretty quick to get it ordered. (my other cup is the same cup by the same manufacturer)Pros:1. Keeps my drinks hot for hours - the main reason I purchase this cup.2. Fits the cup holder in my mini perfectly3. Great price4. Lid comes apart for easy cleaning and drying - bit stiff for taking apart but that's good as it wont come apart by accidentCons:1. Isn't spill proof - if your cup tips over just for a second it will leak through the lid (and all over your coat - yes I did that)2. You cannot wash it in the dishwasher so you have to hand wash (and yet the advisory note doesn't explain why) ... I'm not a fan of handwashing anything - there are more fun things to do in this life than stand at the sink drying the skin out on your hands.3. Unless you want to pay a lot more for the same cup you're stuck with yellow - fortunately I like this colour (should this be a pro then?? No - because I preferred some of the other colours over yellow but I'm not going to be ripped off that way)Overall it's a great item and a good price.

I have had two of these Built travel mugs, they are quite simply the best travel mug in my opinion. The drink stays super hot for hours. Best purchase I have ever made.

Brought this as it holds around 2 mugs of coffee and I needed something that kept my drink super hot for hours whilst I'm working. This didn't disappoint, my coffee is still hot after 8 hours, although I do drink mine with no milk added. The cup does have to be kept upright as it will leak if tipped up, but that's fine for the purpose I needed it for. Really easy to clean, very happy with how hot this keeps drinks

This cup is excellent. It has no taste, is lightweight and has a thin lip but best of all, keeps the contents really hot for several hours. The only downside is that if it is tipped up the drinking hole leeaks so once it is filled it needs to be kept upright. It washes well and can go in the dishwasher. This is the best replacement for disposable cups I have found.

Why do companies think it’s a good idea to change a perfectly good product? I’ve always been a fan of Built travel mugs, so when I decided to purchase another one, I didn’t hesitate to choose Built again. However, this time, I was disappointed to find that the company had changed the lid design, and it’s no longer leak-proof, difficult to drink from, and overall unpleasant to use.The new design requires you to slide the plastic lid to reveal an opening, and it’s pushed on rather than screwed on, which makes it prone to leaks. Drinking from it has become an unpleasant experience as it tends to spill, you have to make a conscious effort to fit your mouth around the opening. Cleaning the lid is also a hassle because you can’t completely dry the space between the two layers, leading to old water accumulating inside. It does keep your drinks hot, but not for several hours as claimed. In my opinion, this product is no longer worth the investment.

I’ve bought several of these because they’re excellent! They keep your tea or coffee hot for over 4 hours and they hold a good large amount of liquid. Normal mugs now look like thimbles in comparison. They come in a variety of colours and are dishwasher-proof. You have to rinse them well after dishwashing to remove the dishwasher tablet fragrance and now and again you need to wire wool the insides to remove stain buildup, but it’s relatively easy to do and worth it to keep your mug feeling fresh. Highly recommended mugs!
