Better than all the copies
Really nice quality selfie stick, doesn’t lock in place but it will stay in place just fine. I use it on my motorbike all the time and it’s great

Definitely worth it
Bonus surprise: It's got a standard screw hole in the end of the handle, which means you can mount this on a tripod. It fits on my old-fashioned tripod I have for a standard SLR camera which is a great combo. I bought it to go with the insta360 X3, and it's a must really. Unless mounting the X3 in some other way you really have to hold it on an invisible selfie stick, otherwise you lose the whole point of shooting 360. This stick is a good compromise between lightweight and sturdy, and being from insta360 there's a bit more confidence that it won't fail and leave your expensive camera smashed or at the bottom of a river etc. The effect of the disappearing selfie stick are really very good. A little spooky when you can see it's shadow...

Legit piece of kit
I’m not a selfie stick kind of guy, but I bought this when I got my X3 and wanted to use it for some certain shots. Works, does the job, genuine Insta360 part, good price. Don’t use it that often, but there to use on trips away, etc.

Poorly designed, buyer beware.
Seemed good for a while, then the base snapped off, having not suffered any notable impact and without warning, seemingly from fatigue of the super thin aluminium that secures the screw mount.Having a screw mount so poorly secured for something that is, by virtue of being quite long and having a camera on the end, going to experience considerable load, is a significant design flaw, and basically this is not fit for purpose. This stick had been used secured to a backpack mount maybe 15 times before snapping off and causing damage to my camera.As an engineer myself I'm baffled that they thought this was sufficient. If you're going to put a screw mount on the end it needs to be attached to the rest of the unit properly.
