Another Fantastic Book by Dr. Temple Grandin
It was hard to put this book down. It’s well written and grabbed my interest from the first page I read. Everything Dr. Grandin shared resonated. As a grandmother raising a now teenage autistic grandson, it encouraged me and confirmed some of the things I experienced. Other things I want to apply in the next years to make further progress, such as providing work experience to prepare him for the future. Thank you for writing this book and for your straight-forward style and approach! It’s another favorite on my bookshelf!

Easy to read, full of great info
I work with autistic preschoolers at my local elementary school. I thought Dr Grandin’s book was FULL of great advice for parents and educators, based on her own life experiences, but also well documented with references and other recommended reading. Recommend this book to anyone with an autistic student, child, or client.

Great Book!!
Anyone that works with, or lives with children that have autism, needs this book! Dr. Temple Grandin continues to write very relevant, informative books even though the diagnosis criteria continues to change. She apparently never stops learning and/or teaching! This book is full of very practical advice on how to help elementary aged children that have been diagnosed with Autism!

Great Read!
I have read many of Temple Grandin's books, especially when my son was first diagnosed with Aspergers 14 years ago. I read this book more for my job as an early childhood educator. It was a great reminder of things I had forgotten, and it was a whole new perspective on my son now that he is older.

Great book!
I recently got this book while attending an autism conference where Dr. Grandin was the keynote speaker. I have really enjoyed reading this book! It offers tons of valuable insights, and tips for helping teach people on the spectrum. The book is not very long, easy read even for the busiest people.

Very informative!!
I have read alot of books about Autism and how to help educate my daughter but no one tells it quite like Temple. She breaks it down in a way that is easy to understand, and gives hope to those of us out there trying to navigate an unknown world.

Insightful
As always Dr Grandin offers excellent advice. I bought it hoping for advice to assist my son on the transition into secondary school. It is more geared towards teachers and snas supporting children. I felt there could have been a little more content. The book felt a little small.

A lot of talking, not a lot of actual infromation.
I am uncertain about the widespread positive reviews for this book. As a professional working with kids with ASD, I find it lacking in educational information that could be beneficial. The book primarily revolves around stereotypes, with the author delving into and explaining them from their perspective and personal experiences as an individual with ASD. It seems more focused on the author's life experiences than providing general information applicable to the majority of people with ASD.
