Value cover gasket gets hard. 2014 Cadillac ATS. 2.5L
The media could not be loaded. Gaskets set did not last more then 5 months. At about 5 months my son informed me that oil sending unit plug was full of oil and code for low oil. After cleaning oil sensor cleaning up oil and checking oil level, all good. 2 weeks later same thing. Finally removed valve cover again and found that valve cover gasket was hard and no longer pliable. And that's why the leak. Now doing job again with different gasket and adding black RTV. Then letting it set up before installing. Hopefully this second line of defense will keep oil in engine should replacement gasket get hard and looses seal.

Gasket set doesn’t have one of the center seals for the cover. Needs two circle seals dime size. Comes with one.
