I have the original Flir One for the iPhone that i have had for a while but lost the ability to use it when the iPhones went from lighting to USB-C. When looking for a replacement I was surprised at how far infrared image capabilities had come with modern day infrared cameras like this one when compared to my little Flir. I like this form factor better honestly. It is easy to hold and look around with, it doesnt tie up my phone which i use for a 100 other things, and its not something small that i am worried about losing or breaking. Its nice being able to skip the phone and hook it directly up to the computer or transfer the micro-sd over to get access to the images/videos. The analyzing software is great for reviewing the images/video for things that might have been missed initially. I am a power conservative freak and use this around the house to spot drafts or areas with low insulation or leaking seals. Using this i have spotted a window that needs replaced and an outside wall that clearly wasn't insulated correctly. These items lit up much redder than the rest of my walls making it easy to spot that i have a problem. The battery has held up well with my multiple uses and have only charged it once and it wasnt even dead when i dead. So far i am loving this thermal camera and its a nice upgrade over my original Flir

The TOPDON TC004 handheld thermal Imaging Camera is one of the best diagnostic tools in my toolbox. It is lightweight and easy to use. Just turn it on and point. The images are fantastic quality. The tool can be used to find hundreds of problems. I really like how the TC004 tracks the Max and Min temperatures in the screen. I use it everyday in the shop to help work on cars. My wife always wanted one. I brought it home and she found another dozen uses for the TC004. She went around to all of our electrical devices and unplugged anything that generated heat that was not being used.

This is a life saver for finding modules and electronics that are staying in for parasitic draw of a vehicle. I’ve seen a lot of videos of ppl using them for that. Also finding issues with a bad breaker in homes. The possibilities are endless for this tool. Love all the functions. I really love being able to take photos of the item to look back at the temps. Highly recommend it.

For a budget model this thing is pretty great. Images aren't super clear, but certainly clear enough to see what's going on. Worth the price of admission if it's not for super critical work.

Not for home inspection or most hidden moisture detection. This will work in some applications, but it will not work for well for building inspections. Ive owned one from almost every company and re-sold it including this unit. The minimum you can spend for this work would be for FLIR E6 or higher. At least 40,000 true pixels to see plumbing leaks on a finished ceiling at distance is needed. HM M30 is also suitable but more cost.

Got my monies worth already! MY neighbor accidentally let my cat out at night and he took off thru the field. With the help of this camera found him quickly!

This thing works exactly as described! I’m a professional automotive technician and I have wanted a thermal imaging camera for a while before pulling the trigger on this one and I’m glad I did. The screen is a good size and the video imaging is very clear. Most of all though the thermal readings are accurate!
