Aphogee Balancing Moisturizer & Two-Step Protein Treatment by Aphogee

I had my long , dark healthy hair dyed blonde, yes I know, stupid idea considering how much damage it causes but I needed a pick-me up after a rubbish week. I went to my hair dresser on two occasions and we got it to a blonde/brassy colour. After every wash my hair was super matted and gummy, I couldn’t brush it without clumps coming out, my hairdresser didn’t use any olaplex in my dye and I think that’s what caused the issues. I found this protein treatment via Reddit and watched so many YouTube videos and read a lot of reviews after which I bought this. I did as Instructed, it was super sticky to apply and made a bit of a mess BUT it did what it was meant to do, after applying it and the moisturiser, then following with an olaplex no.3 my hair is BACK BABY, I have it a tiny trim and scrunched it to get my curls back.. it worked and no clumps came out after washing, my curls have started to return and my hair feels soft. I’ll do another treatment in 3 months as I’ve read about protein build-up! Amazing product and so affordable .

I've been dying my hair black for years. Got fed up and decided to go blonde. Yeah, I realise now this may have been a bit silly to do all in one go but I used colour remover, bleach, toner, AND a lightening spray (never, ever use these, they are highly damaging- far more so than boxed dye) to get there. As a result, my poor hair was mushy, gummy and basically resembled chewing gum when wet. I couldnt even get a comb through it when wet as it was breaking off and stretching like chewing gum that had been chewed for 24 hours. I tried olaplex which sort of helped a bit but nothing amazing. I tried deep conditioners, oils etc and then I remembered this from back in the day (its been around waaay longer than olaplex) and thought what the heck, I've got nothing to lose. From the very first try my hair was transformed, it actually looked like hair again rather than straw. Its shiny, smooth and swingy. This product is an absolute miracle.A few tips:1. If your hair is breaking off, elastic like chewing gum when wet and feels gummy then your hair needs protein2. If your hair is dry, with a rough cuticle then you need moisture.3. ALWAYS follow a protein treatment with moisture as too much protein can can damage your hair, it must be balanced with a moisture treatment afterwards. You also shouldnt overload hair with protein as it can make it brittle so pace the protein treatments.I now use this every 4-6 weeks to keep my hair in good condition, it really is a life saver and it has saved me having to cut all my hair off. Using this every few weeks will keep your hair in tip top condition. Note: if your hair is not damaged then this treatment wont do much for you, its really an emergency treatment for very damaged, brittle and gummy hair.

Made hair feel hard even after the balancer. I’ll stick to bond builders!
