Nomad Rugged Leather Case for Apple iPhone X - Brown

This is a good case. The case arrives with the leather a much darker shade of brown than the pictures from Nomad and it lacks the texture that the official photos suggest. Leather cases do dim, lighten, mark, scratch and all sorts as they age which is why we buy them. They become rather rustic looking after a while. If you're looking for a case that will mark, soak up the oils from your skin, show scars when you drop it and develop proper character as the months pass then you want this case. It's the only reason you're buying a leather case. If you want a perfect generic case that looks perfect then buy some awful rubbery thing. I'll be sticking with this Nomad and will enjoy watching it age. This case leaves plenty of space around the power socket and my after-market charging cable fits in it well, but if you have some sleek docking station where everything sits flat then you'll want to research as to whether this case will work for you. Nomad gets another star for sinking the screen in slightly which will offer some minimal screen scratch protection if it goes face down somewhere much like the old iPhone Bumpers used to. The case has a strong and robust feel about it. And for the sake of clarity, some people who have reviewed this product have said that they've had a 15% discount voucher to write a review but I'm not one of those people and nobody has paid me anything for my review. If Amazon lets me post a photo to this review in a few months time (and I remember) then I'll let you know what mine actually looks like after it's been out in the real world for a while.

I wonder sometimes if they test these. The case is half leather, half plastic with good coverage and screen protection when face down. I don't doubt the leather will age well and look nice.All that is pointless though given how rubbish the buttons are. Very hard to press, you have no idea if they have worked or not, which is a pain given half the time they do not. So they spent a load of time and tooling on the case, and zero on the buttons and the usability.Avoid - I'll be returning.

Everything about it is great! Yeah it’s not as light as the photo shows, but if it was it’d age much worse. I can just tell it’s going to stand the test of time and look great all the while.

Really decent quality case - still using after one year. The leather obviously ages and gets darker. Drop phone multiple times and yet to break thanks to this case.

It's a nice case with good protection however a few points worth knowing. The leather on the back very easily marks from fingernails etc. and thats after less than a day. I use a charging stand at night but with this case the bottom section is a lot thicker than my usual case making charging in the stand impossible as the connector cannot reach the socket on the iPhone. As the leather has marks on it after less than a day I cannot return the case so I have ordered a magnetic charging stand instead.

Really wanted to love this case! Looks so nice but the cut outs are so sharp it had to come off it was cutting into my finger, painfully where it rested really badly, just very sharp on the power cut out :(

Unlike the previous review I love the colour of the case. The case itself protects the iPhone X really well all round although I did supplement the case with a glass screen protector. This is a fantastic case I would thoroughly recommend it

Nice case but unfortunately colour and texture doesn't look like rugged one.

I use my iPhone X for agriculture industry work in very harsh conditions on a daily basis - often as a data recorder. It is frequently wet, muddy, cold or hot, but never dropped more than once a week! This is by far the best case I’ve ever used. Love the feel of the leather, the character it takes on over time, the fit and finish and its very impressive durability. Excellent investment.

I received this item only yesterday so maybe this review is made too early, but the product seems fine. The case is darker than the picture shown on amazon - maybe they took the photo with a heavy flash who knows. Pictures shown in the other user reviews are accurate. I bought the apple OEM leather case and the apple OEM case is much lighter in color, but that will probably also darken with age. All in all, the apple OEM leather case seems to have more durable leather, while the nomad case already has a couple of small impressions from being placed in the console of my car.I still have the product on my phone for protection. The buttons feel OK but I've never used a clamshell (?) smartphone case so I have no basis for comparison. However, the OEM apple leather case buttons are very tactile go figure. The product feels very sturdy, but the leather does seem like it may get dinged a bit more than an OEM apple leather case due to the leather being applied to a synthetic shell - the apple OEM leather case is thicker. My only complaint is that the silent switch is recessed a slight distance from the outside of the case (the case is thicker than the OEM apple leather case) so I use a bit of care to put the phone on silent mode avoid dings. All in all this feels pretty sturdy so it's staying on for now. I will like to see how it looks after it's aged.-edit: i took a closer look at my apple OEM leather case and it also has a couple of small impressions from being placed in my car's center console. The leather in both cases seems equally durable. The nomad product is fine.

Muy contento, han pasado varias semanas de uso y ha cogido una pátina que me gusta mucho. Además es muy resistente a las caídas porque se me cayó el móvil a un suelo de hormigón y no sufrió daños (aparte de unos roces en las esquinas de la piel que le dan cierto carácter. Vengo de carcasas UAG por su resistencia pero esta no tiene nada que envidiar. Muy recomendable.

Très solide et bien sexy, la coque a cependant un immense défaut... en effet la seule photo qui n’est pas montrée est celle de l’encoche du bouton d’allumage de l’iPhone X ! La coque était bien large le bouton n’est accessible qu’avec un ongle de secrétaire manucurée ! Un ongle normalement coupé n’a aucune chance de pouvoir atteindre ce bouton :/
