🎤 Plug in. Lock down. Own the stage.
The GEARit 4 Channel Snake is a professional-grade 2ft breakout cable that converts 4 XLR audio or DMX channels into a single EtherCON RJ45 Cat5/Cat6 connection. Designed for live sound, lighting, and studio environments, it supports up to 300 feet of cable runs, secure locking connectors, and passes 48V phantom power, making it an essential tool for streamlined, reliable multi-channel audio and control signal transmission.

Decent build quality!
Seems to be a decently built product and I've used it several times on several gigs with varying lengths of ethercon cable and so far I have been quite impressed with it. Great value for money sound quality is not decreased it has great ease of use and works well!

Network cable for audio and lights??
I guess I've been under a rock, but when did CAT6 network cable take over from those heavy, cumbersome 150' audio snakes? These things are the best idea/implentation since the invention of um... hampster wheels. Solid workmanship and zero noise. Excellent build quality. I run a 16-channel rack-mounted digital mixer w/ powered subs and cabs rig that I run from stage while playing perfectly awful bass guitar. I bought two of these GEARit units and plugged them into channels 9-16 (see pic). I intend to get two more and fill all 16 channels. The cables pass through an empty rack space with the "box" ends velcroed solidly to the bottom of the rack and aligned with the back (sans cover). The front and back covers of this particular road case are deep enough to allow all of this wiring to remain in place when I rig down. When I have the other two GEARit units, I will be able to set this rack in place, pop off the covers, run four CAT6 network cables to 4x breakout boxes placed strategically around the stage and plug everything in with short-run XLR cables. I'll be set up in no time and even quicker tearing down. Talk about cable management! I LOVE a neat, trip-free stage. While you're at it, don't skimp on the network cables. Go with the GEARit Shielded CAT6 Ethercon Cables. Heavy-duty and the Ethercon connectors shroud the RJ45 network connectors in a solid metal housing (much like an XLR) and lock in place. Totally roadworthy. Look for bundles of GEARit boxes and cables with your choice of cable length and breakout configurations. Solid gear. Oh, yeah. They can also be used to connect your DMX lighting. Bloody wizardry.

Used/Repaired substituted for New
I ordered 2sets of these Cat-6 Audio 4x extenders. All worked fine, but one of the pairs had been used and/or repaired. The boxes were not in original packaging and one of them had a small bag inside with repaired internal cabling pieces inside. The box itself had an amazon sticker resealing the box. I tested and they worked OK. Just was expecting and paid for "New" not used/repaired equipment. The 2nd pair was new and in original packaging, as expected.

the lighter stage snake
Worked great, I used it to run 4 monitors on stage using a cat6 50' cable. Work perdect and no delay. Much better and lighter than bringing a 50' snake
