I purchased this for my 12 year old son and it has been a great addition to his daily intake. He has a nice big appetite with a very fast metabolism just like his father and I. So I decided to add this protein supplement which has essential nutrients and vitamins. He loves it! I mix it with orange, carrot and pineapple juice. Whether I blend it or I shake it up in a reusable bottle it does not have gritty powder nor an off-putting taste. I highly recommend mixing it with a fruit smoothie or a thicker juice like orange juice for little ones who may be picky with their flavors. Choosing a natural fruit juice that they already like and adding the powder to that will help them to drink it without a fuss. My husband suggested giving him the protein in the afternoon since he would have already eaten his breakfast and lunch and a snack. Which may be better tolerated than having the protein on an empty stomach or during breakfast time as it is only the first meal of the day. I do not give him this protein every single day I usually alternate it with his multivitamin of the same brand name but that's only two or three times a week as he is young and we have to monitor vitamin and nutrient levels with these kinds of supplements for our little ones.I highly recommend and will be purchasing again.

I'm only giving 4 and not 5 stars because we ordered the vanilla and it tasted a bit like playdoh acording to my daughter. My other daughter ended up loving it when she mixed it with strawberries. In 2 weeks she finished the whole thing. It definetely works well since her muscle mass has grown and she thinks it tastes great Although I will try buying the chocolate one for my other daughter to try.

I prefer to blend this in my smoothie blender with the liquid of the day. It mixes well, it is expensive and hefty on the pocket. Texture and taste is great my picky eater loves it and it’s a morning thing. Very easy and convenient to use on daily basis.

Absolutely disgusting! It tastes closer to birthday cake flavor but the taste is so overpowering and sweet that you will have to cut it. The first time I had to reduce to 1/4 the mixture recommendation to get my kid to drink it. Next time my kid better described it as sour milk tasting. He could only do one sip, so I tried it, and he was right. Had to add more milk and then mask it with the brownie powder they offer which is decent but again too much sugar.

I can’t stand the taste. We love the organic kids chocolate protein shakes that we buy ready to drink in Costco, but it was getting pricey. I thought getting a powder version and mixing it with some bananas and strawberries would be a good idea. My kids don’t like it and as an adult, I don’t either.
