Best reader I have used to date.
The TOPDON TopScan Lite is hands down one of the best diagnostic tools I’ve ever used. The bi-directional control feature is a game changer—it let me test components like windows and the A/C clutch directly from my phone, saving me hours of troubleshooting. I also really appreciate the wide range of functions, especially the reset options like Oil Reset and ABS Bleeding, which helped me avoid unnecessary trips to the shop. Bluetooth pairing was fast and easy, and the app interface is intuitive on both iOS and Android. It even supports over 100 car brands, which makes it perfect for anyone who works on different vehicles. For DIY users and professionals alike, this tool delivers serious value, especially with the first year subscription-free.

they don't care if you buy it or not
Update:The product is actually really good. Despite their support bs, I decided to try it. I could still return it if I wanted to within 30 days. It got a ton of tests and a bargain at its price point and the 50 dollars a year. I change my review to 5 stars on the product but left the company review at 1 star. I would say if you are looking for a basic OBD2 reader skip this one and get a regular one. But with this little thing you can active test any supported item. I feel like I do enough home mechanic projects this will work for me.****I bought this taken in by its cheap price. I went back a day later and noticed that it was a subscription based product after the first year. I want to point out that the subscription part was labeled on listing clearly, it was my mistake for not seeing it originally.I contacted the company asking what would be lost if I didn't pay for the yearly subscription as I thought it was werid to pay 50 dollars for the device then 50 dollars each year to keep it going. The exact email I got back was :"the topscan is a very capable tool in the right hands. well worth the subscription fee if you work on cars often. its comparable to much much higher level scan tools in terms of capability. if you cannot justify 100.00 dollars than maybe its not the tool for you. You can return it."I thought that was a smart aleck email so I replied back that sounded rude and I just asked what I would lose if it didn't work. After several back and forth emails I got this this in an email:"Seems as though your mind was already made up so what can I do? You lose all bidirectional features and online functions after your subscription is up. It turns into a super basic OBD2 code reader."My mind was never made up. I was just stating that I was trying to figure out the justification for 50 dollars extra per year. I was weighing out my options as to if I would pay the 50 dollars per year or just let it go to its no subscription version.I called their sales team which the person I talked to was like "yeah...thats a pretty straight forward question. Not sure why you got that reply". He supposed to have sent it to the supervisor and I didn't hear back.So they will be receiving this back unopened and returned.

Scanner Bluetooth
The media could not be loaded. Since I started using this device on my 2018 Toyota Camry a few weeks ago, I have been honestly impressed by the amount of control it offers me over the health of my car. As soon as I launched the companion software on my iPhone and synced it with the scanner, I felt as though I had unlocked a high-quality diagnostic instrument in my garage. My opinion is that the fact that it connects wirelessly over Bluetooth is a game-changer since it eliminates the need to fiddle with cords and adapters that are located beneath the dashboard. The knowledge that I can retrieve engine codes or view live data in a matter of seconds gives me a sense of empowerment, regardless of whether I am attempting to solve a check-engine light or just monitoring performance. When I first started the app, this product's speed and depth of report generation pleased me. I used it to do a full-system scan across all modules, including the engine, gearbox, anti-lock braking system, airbag, and other components. The bi-directional capability, which enables me to transmit orders back to the automobile, strikes me as a distinguishing feature that differentiates it from simple readers. It is with complete assurance that I am able to clear codes with a single swipe, as I see the check-engine light disappearing promptly on my dashboard. In the past, I have had negative experiences with scanners that could just read codes; however, the capability of this machine to conduct resets and adaptations has already spared me from having to make at least two visits to the mechanic.Every time the scanner reconnects without requiring me to cycle the key or re-enter pins, I get the impression that my time has been treated with respect. I have not fond memories of struggling through obscure service menus; yet, with this scanner's clear labeling and one-touch resets, even complicated resets seem straightforward. The eight additional hot reset options have proved to be really useful on regular maintenance days. For whatever reason, the built-in repair guidelines have proven to be an unexpectedly helpful resource. When I was using this product to bring up step-by-step instructions and wiring diagrams, I accidentally came across a code that indicated the efficiency of the catalyst. If I had that fast reference inside the same program window, I would have saved myself at least an hour searching online forums.
