MerrellMen's Moab 3 Waterproof Hiking Shoe

I purchased these ahead of a weeklong trip to Switzerland/France. The forecast showed rain each day (accurate), but I wasn't going to let that stop us from exploring the sights. These shoes worked out perfectly - they were comfortable enough for multi-mile walking days, and kept my feet dry the whole time. I have wide feet, and they fit great. Also have flat feed, and they worked great with my orthotics (I have worn them since with the included insoles, and have not had any issues with arch support for moderate usage. They are stylish enough that I could wear them for all activities (though you'd probably want something else for a really fancy outing).

Bought these for my husband for an upcoming Alaska vacation that will include a lot of fishing excursions so the shoes had to be warm and waterproof. His normal size is a 10.5 but when adding wool socks, they were too tight. Returned those and got an 11. Those fit perfectly. I'll update about the walkability and waterproofing when we get back

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought as a gift and they are true to size. My son-in-law says they are very comfortable and they wear well.

Nice hiking shoe, Very comfortable. When hiking through grass covered in dew, my socks & toes got got a little wet. I haven't tried them in 1 or 2 inches of water

I really love these shoes. They fit perfectly and were comfortable right out of the box. I appreciate that they are available in wide, as recommended by my podiatrist (his prescription shoes are expensive!). I have purchased North Face shoes for the past 20 years but recently they are cheaply made, which is why I tried Merrill. Was tempted to purchase another pair to stash away for my next shoe, thinking Merrill will eventually cut corners like most companies. Hopefully they stay committed to quality and reputation. Very happy I took a chance on the Merrill brand.Btw, although these are waterproof, I do not expect these to be leakproof. If I was concerned, I would have purchased the Gore Tex version of this shoe, which wasn't available on Amazon at the time.

I love these shoes. This is the second pair I've bought. They fit well. Break it was fast and pleasant. The colors are great and the support is wonderful. I climb up and down every day without foot fatigue.

The best shoes I had for hiking. Durable and it will last. I had this for the last two years already and i'm still using it.
