My path is marked in blood. This is the third and final book in May Dawson's, Academy of the Supernatural series. It starts off pretty much after the second book ended. Deidra heads back to the Academy along with Cade, Nix and Tristan and of course a gift for Calla. But what she discovered at the end of book 2 she needs to keep secret apart from to Malcolm, the Dean of the academy and her "grandfather". With news also of her sister, who all she wants is to protect, Deidra wants nothing more than to protect her sister and her men and she will happily do it on her own.Cade seems to be pretty hot and cold for some of this book with his attitude leaning towards showing an instructor/cadet relationship. Deidra is also pretty reckless now she has come into her new powers and will do anything to save those she loves even if it costs her, her own life. This book rounded up the series pretty nicely and Deidra got her happily ever after with her men, though I did find the defeat of the bad guy a little anti-climactic. I'd love to see more from some of the other characters such as Briar and Corson in the future.

Fantastic series
What an ending! This book was unputdownable! It is fast paced and action packed. The characters continue to grow and are accepting in their situation.Deidre is a stubborn, kick butt MC that pushes people away to protect them. She never turned into a wilting flower even after all the boys were introduced and I love that! I hate seeing strong females transform in the name of love. She gets more accepting of having people around who want to help-but still resists a little. The guys are all strong personalities they have trouble letting people in as well. They have their individual issues to work though and in this book more of that is done. Each one has their own personality and place in the group and the four of them work really well together in all matters. This is a fantastic series and though set around an academy it doesn’t feel like it. It’s a fresh an interesting idea that takes in a new idea in the supernatural world-hunters.I look forward to reading this again and highly recommend it!

Epic finale
Great ending to a great series! If you sometimes feel the last book in a series let's the whole series down, I am normally with you, but May Dawson has done it again! A really great book with no stopping the action throughout. I felt there could have been a bit more action as there had been in the previous books with Dierdre BUT I loved how it was replaced by character building and tying up the story (and of course the sexy times with all her guys!). Would recommend reading this series from the start for a great read!

The whole 3 series was overall just ok
Firstly, for a reverse harem book, the relationship was never properly addressed and the sex scenes were incredibly weak.Secondly, there are so many unanswered questions (some spoilers)1. Why was there antagonism between Julia and Dee? There was no point it went nowhere.2. What was the point of Truby? Seriously why even bother? Was he a bad guy, was he a good guy, why did he pretend to be her father, why were we lead to believe he was a rapist? There are so many unanswered questions about him.3. So did Dees mother have sex with Truby and then an angel?4. Why does Malcolm prefer the grandchild who is no blood relation to him, than the one who is?5. Why were an entire army of demons so easy to beat including lucifer?!The writing was engaging. The storytelling just needed so much work.I've just read three books and haven't really gone anywhere.

Lovely
Another wonderful series by May... quite the plot with Dee losing her parents very young, losing her Uncle later, finding her (not quite Dad as well as Grand Dad) Dad wasn’t her Dad, then even he wasn’t her Dad plus a half sister who’s alive... lots of kickass action - no damsel in distress here... a power house... drama, magic, humor ... passion... absolutely lovely...

Good Book
It was enjoyable and a nice wrap-up to the series but, like the first two books, the ending left something to be desired. Worth the read though!

Fitting Finale.
The final book in this trilogy successfully wraps all the loose ends in a satisfying way with a small hint to future stories set in the same world. Can’t wait to read what’s next for May Dawson.

Quite the unique end.
I really liked this one but it was also odd in a way. Don’t misunderstand me too badly because the characters were all purposely following their paths, no deviations there. It was more that things that should have occurred earlier were pushed in and while a few questions were answered many were still left undone but it came across as filler.I’m thinking the short way to say it is, the series ended right when everyone was hitting their stride and should be taking the series by storm, so much potential just left floating around.Language still mild and the family friendliness is less than the others, a bit more hit and graphic descriptions but definitely a very mild slow burn of RH.
