Real Barbed Wire 50ft 18 Gauge - Great for Crafts, Fences, and Critter Deterrent

This is our third purchase of this barbed wire from this vendor. It's perfect for its intended use, i.e., keeping raccoons from either climbing up or climbing down to our bird feeders. The first time we wrapped the wire too tightly around the posts in the ground and along the top, thinking it would keep the raccoons at bay. However, they were able to climb over it and get to our feeders despite the wrapped wire. Thus, we came up with the idea of wrapping it quite loosely so any raccoon would simply become entangled in it if he/she tried to get through it. It worked! Raccoons no longer bother our feeding area. The third purchase is to wrap it loosely around stakes in the ground surrounding a small area that they started using as a latrine. We're confident it will work.

It's barbed wire. It's been outside a year and didn't rust. So that's good.

It looks as described but it's not raccoon proof with one roll....I've ordered another roll do double layer the area I'm having a rodent issue and I hope it works. However, the product is well made and durable, you will need thick gloves to install it, they should've provided some with the product....

Have not installed it yet, but looks to be exactly what I wanted.
