Good Quality
These are comfortable to wear and don't restrict movement at all. They are made well and are water resistant. These are easy to adjust and provide decent protection.

Good for skinny legs
These VSVI Leg Gaiters are a nice pair of gaiters to have. They are good for walking in the snow but not if you have big thick pants on that bunch up under the gaiter. I got these for walking on a piece of land that is full of brambles, burrs and all kinds of debris. I still have burrs stuck on my shoes and boots but at least not on my socks or pants.

Ok for snow, but too small to zip
These gaiters have a zipper closure covered with a hook and loop closure, and I ordered them primarily for snow when I'm out in Colorado hiking during the winters. They're nice and lightweight, but unfortunately they're cut too narrow to zip up with my Merrell boots. My Merrells are pretty minimal in heft (compared to my Keens or Asolo boots), and if these won't zip with those then they definitely won't work on heftier boots I have. The hook and loop closure works though, and for my needs that'll do in the snow. If I was looking to use these for stream crossings though I'd be pretty disappointed because for that I'd definitely need the added protection of the zipper enclosure.Otherwise, the fit is fine, although I'd say anyone with meaty calves may find these a bit snug. The strap that goes underneath the boot and buckles on the other side is comically too long, but that's not a huge deal. I'll still get some use out of these in the snow, but if I was looking for a water and snow appropriate gaiter I would keep looking. They may work with low top boots or trail running shoes, but I'm at an age where I'm not going trail running in wet conditions so my primary use is snow conditions.

Very Nice Gaiters
I needed a new pair of gaiters for snowshoeing and these are almost perfect. First, the size is ideal for women, I think a man's calves would be too large for these. What is nice about these is they have a very durable closure. They have both a zipper and velcro over that, so they are quite secure and prevents snow or rain, etc. from getting inside. They also have snaps at the top and bottom. There is a hook that attaches to your shoe laces and an adjustable strap that goes around the bottom of your foot. The top has an elastic bungee closure as well, so you can really make sure of a tight fit at the top. The material is nice, thick nylon, so it's waterproof and strong. There is built-in elastic at the ankle. The bottom strap will likely get filled and caked with snow at the closure, but this is typical of gaiters - they all have some type of closure around the bottom strap. These should last a long time!

Lightweight & Strong - Economically Priced
Occasionally I hike in places where I'd like extra protection from thorns, undergrowth, and poisonous plants so I ordered these gaiters. In playing with them a bit, I found that they stayed on my leg best when the strap was adjusted so that the upper portion (with the bungee closure) was about 2 finger widths below my knee joint - that way they stayed up nicely without being too tight. I also found that it was easiest to keep the strap that goes below the foot always buckled and just slip my foot over it when putting the gaiters on, that way I could leave them adjusted at the proper height and keep from having to pass the extra length of strap back through the catch at the bottom (to keep it from snagging on brush). Weight-wise, they're fairly light. I don't know what denier they are, but I would refer to the fabric weight as summer-weight - heavy enough to give reasonable protection, but not enough to protect from large thorns or snakes. Size-wise, the Amazon page indicates they are for people whose calves are 15 inches or less in circumference. I measured my calf and it's exactly 15 inches, and there was ample space. All-in-all, these are fairly well-made and economical (when compared to other gaiters sold in camping stores). If I could suggest one improvement / upgrade, it would be to make the strap that goes across the bottom of the foot of a heavier material. This would contribute to the overall durability of the product. Since my first review I discovered another very helpful use for these. When I mow, they keep debris out of my low-top boots and protect me from insects.

Good Leg and Boot Protection
These are smart and well made gaiters that are all black with a few metallic eyes and buckles. The first thing that I noticed was that the under sole strap is made from proper woven/braided yarn and not some plastic fake leather that a lot of gaiters use. These should be resilient and long lasting. The top part of the gaiter that covers your shins and calves is made from what I would call rip stop nylon with that shiny diamond grid pattern all over. The access is via a heavy duty plastic zipper and a protector flap with Velcro and a metal popper at top and bottom. This fabric transitions into a thick black nylon type canvas on the part that covers your boot top.Overall impression is very good gaiters.
