This document scanner came in handy in the most amazing way! I had already previously assembled it, and set it up. Was in the middle of a work meeting and someone was missing a vital document that was not readily available on the share point drive. I quickly snapped a photo then scanned the image and it worked!!Not only is it compact and neatly folds up, but it actually captures print clearly and legibly.Works faster than other scanners I have owned in the past, and can be portable if needed.The scanner is quite solid and incredibly durable.It operates quickly, quietly and effectively.Served its purpose on a quick whim and did not disappoint. I cannot speak any more highly of this product..

The included instructions are not clear at all. They talk about a CD for installation but there is no CD included. Going to the website is slightly better but there is no clear model number on the camera at all.I was able to make this work with no help for the scant documentation and I was able to use it on my Discord channel and my friends were able to read test pages quite easily. The overall image quality is quite good and the light can be helpful. It articulates easily as well.If you know what you're doing then you can get this working with no problems but if you are not very tech-savvy save yourself the frustration and get another document scanner.

As far as document scanning goes, this device really doesn't have any benefits over a cellphone with a high pixel count camera and document scanning software. However, it does get interesting when integrated into online meetings or live presentations. Since it plugs into the USB port of a PC, it can be used as the camera for web conferencing or provide live visuals when presenting your screen.I do have a few gripes, though. First, the instructions refer to software on a CD, but there is no included CD. Even the "what's in the box" section on the Amazon page says "CD". No CD, no included software, no reference to a website where the software can be downloaded. Fortunately, the inbox Camera app on my Windows 11 PC works just fine. In fact, that app has a document scanner mode, which detects the edges of documents, and that works really well.Second, the neoprene mat that comes with the scanner does not sit flat because it has been folded up to fit in the box. Not sure how to get the folds out (iron it somehow?) but it prevents documents from sitting flat on the surface. Also, the main image on the Amazon product page appears to have a built-in solid base for the document, but that is misleading. The feature descriptions do not mention the base, but the picture implies there is one.Neither of these issues are dealbreakers, just minor annoyances. Regardless, this is a useful product for particular scenarios. As a document scanner only, I think it's a bit pricey.

I was really excited to get this - a friend of mine had a book scanner that was very similar to this. When I received it, though, there was no CD for installation and no way that I could see or find to install it.So...completely unusable.
