Wish I had found these sooner. I’m a professional pet portrait artist and I now use these all the time. They blend pastels beautifully, even charcoal. I’ve used them a little with graphite, but I think I like the paper blenders better.

These are the best for blending in pastels, charcoal and graphite pencils . The rubber side is Great for clouds and skies, blending and backgrounds. The white side is great for texture, define straight lines and spot touching small areas that is missing pigment.

Okay, these Koziz Blending Sponge Pens? Absolute magic wands for artists. I didn’t know I needed 12 tiny foam-tipped wizards in my life, but here we are—and I’m never going back.They look like makeup brushes and feel like Q-tips that went to art school. I use them for blending colored pencils, graphite, and even the occasional oopsie I pretend was “intentional shading.” The double-ended design makes me feel like a pro, even when I’m aggressively trying to fix my mistakes.They’re washable, reusable, and surprisingly durable—even when I accidentally sat on one (RIP little buddy… he survived though). If you're tired of using your fingers, tissues, or your cat’s tail to blend—do yourself a favor and get these.10/10 would blend again.

The white tip side is hard, kind of like the paper smudgers whose name is eluding me at the moment. The description states -the gist of it- that it's harder to create variation as the the other side -the black end- is for softer edges, but that side is only a little more forgiving than the white end. I'm also a newb with graphite and intentional smudging vs smudging from my hand resting on the work before I go to ink. So it's probably just because of my newness to this that I'm struggling with the brush as that is a common thing. Gonna try buying another set from a different company to test it out, but other than that, the ends have not disintegrated like the paper roll smudgers and their damnable, inevitable limp tip I have to eventually snip off in frustration after it smears the wrong section. I prefer my bics as I can achieve gradients but they do not play well with other mediums like my microns do, but I want to enjoy smudging as the watercolor like efft I have seen some artist share is mesmerizing, so stick with it I must.

These are great blending sponges. I draw with charcoal and graphite and these blenders work great for both. I do plan on buying more. They have a light, yet strong feel to them. Ive been using them for awhile now and the sponge tips are still like new. Fyi, i draw every day i can get
