I have a light in the shower that had an old plastic trim thing covering it, and the prior owner had put a bulb in the socket that was too big and would get physically warm. Didn't realize this until it was too late, but it had started turning the plastic lens cover brown as it had started melt over time, eventually cracking. I was worried about moisture getting up into the fixture, so it was time to replace it.I wanted this job to be done the same day so I could keep using my shower, and ended up going to 3 big box hardware stores. Between all these stores I only found 1 replacement trim set for these type of lights. What they mostly had was the retrofit kits which is where you basically can screw something into the light socket, and then attach a new light fixture to that. That would've been fine, but I wanted to just fix what was there, so I bought the one trim set that I found after visiting 3 big box hardware stores.The trim set that I bought didn't fit quite right. It met all the dimensions I thought I needed, and sortof fit in the spot, but it wasn't going flush with the ceiling... this is because the part with the springs was ever-so-slightly too wide, and rubbed against the inside of the can thing in the ceiling.. so when the trim thing would get pushed towards the ceiling, the entire can would move into the ceiling slightly which would make it never sit flush on the ceiling. Annoying.So after that I turned to amazon, and decided I would be OK with not fixing it that day. I found this trim kit which was nicer than the ones I found at the big box stores - the lens is glass, which means I won't have to worry about it melting like the plastic... and just overall looks nicer. I put an LED bulb in the socket, when I put this cover on, it went into place perfectly and was flush with the ceiling, very easily, and on the first try. The part with the springs is not as wide as the one I got at the big box store so this one fit perfectly.Long story short, this is nicer quality, nicer materials, looks better, and functionally worked better than the one I got a big box store. Highly recommend.

this is a replacement for our porch. It is absolutely perfect, and I bought two more so they all match. The spring was a bit tight and it required a bit of thinking to do this while standing on a ladder. Looks great.

Repainting my master bath and the old one over the shower was nasty and discolored. Ordered this and took 45 seconds to fit. Perfect fit, well made and sturdy, and much distributes light much better than the cruddy old one.

Not bad but expected more light to come through.

I bought these to replace the ones that came with my house when I bought it. The old ones were getting yellow and falling off. These were a perfect replacement as far as size and color. I was able to get the old ones off and put these ones in with no issues and they look and work great.

Replaced my originals with these. Fit perfectly and installed with ease. My original ones became faded and yellow looking. These are perfect.

This is the kind of cover you need for a recessed light in a shower area. The lens does create brightness and was very easy to install

This lamp cover (glass plate and plastic trim) arrived well packaged and quickly and in good condition. It was fairly easy to install - the springs take a bit of hand muscle to squeeze - and it looks good in position. The new gasket is pretty thin and is not thick enough to make a seal against the ceiling, so I added the gasket from my old lamp cover. The glass lens has a somewhat retro look.
