Why did you pick this product vs others?:I needed a small engine tach to set the idle on a Stihl blower. This did the job for a reasonable price. As expected, the instructions weren't great, but after a little experimentation, I got the settings where I needed them. It worked well enough to set the idle on my blower.

Fairly accurate using it as induction, but not at all when using the clamp, unless I’m doing something wrong.

I just bought a used Honda hrx mower and wanted to check the rpm’s. First I looped the wire through the two holes on the side of the meter. I used the “2-rpm” setting by holding the right button down to cycle through the three different options. Clamped around the spark plug and started the mower. Instantly got the readout. I got 2990 rpm, which is in the recommended range. This will come in handy and was so easy to use.

Good general tachometer. Assisted in setting governors on small engines.

This is the third and last one of this style tach I am going to buy. Of all three I have, this one works most of the time but so many times, it shows either double the rpm or randomly numbers like 400 or 500. I keep resetting it to setting 2 which is what I need but it still wants to do whatever it wants. So I keep trying and when it works, it works well. I'm satisfied with it but most of the time it is just frustrating.
