The Best Post Operative Compression Garment
I purchased several bras post belt lipectomy and breast augmentation. After my initial error in sizing, I correctly measured, reordered the correct size, and I'm as comfortable as can be. This is the best of all the garments that I purchase for recoveryIt is of utmost importance to follow the measuring guidelines. When done correctly, this is the most comfortable compression garment that I have post op. I have other Marena bras as well, but this is my favorite. It holds my newly purchased breasts in place like my plastic surgeon wants while offering me the most comfort.I had suggestions of several other less expensive bras for post op, but this is so worth the price. The material that it is crafted from offers antimicrobial protection which is a really important part of healing from surgery. I like that I was wash and dry these and not worry about hanging them to dry which takes more time. Most importantly is the comfort is off the charts. Going through a surgery like this is not easy but the Marena bra gave me the most comfort of all undergarments that I purchased for my healing post operative period. To say that I went overboard in purchasing different bras is an understatement. I have tried a total of 8 other bras and this one wins, hands down! Note that I am also wearing a Marena faja type of compression garment in the photo (also another winner in my book).

They must be very good bras because the size I need is out of stock

Saved me after breast reduction surgery
The bra I received from the hospital was the same brand, but only had 5 hook & eye spots and sat right on my incision, which was painful to say the least. I found this one which is at least 2-3” longer (7 hook & eyes) and while it comes over where my drains were, it’s much better as it sits lower on my ribs. It does tend to want to “roll up,” but I’m overweight so everything “rolls up” on me. I got a 46 B/C. I measured 41” around the under breast area and it’s a perfect fit. I hook it on the tightest eye at the top and on the loosest eye on the two lowest ones to reduce rolling. It’s a bit pricey, but I bought a pack of front zip-up bras for far less and they can’t compare to this bra, so I guess you get what you pay for. ;)

Perfect recovery bra
I needed a post surgery bra after a lumpectomy with bilateral reduction surgery. I bought a few styles and this is my favorite. It is adjustable and provides just the right amount of support and compression. The band is low enough that it does not hit my sutures and it stays put. It does not ride up or roll up, even overnight or while I sit in my recliner. The fabric is smooth and soft and stays cool even on our hot summer days. It is by far the most comfortable of the bras I purchased.

Needs padding insert pockets
I was given a Marena bra post surgery and it is identical except for the other had inserts to put pads in. I realize these are to be supportive and not fashionable but I really don’t care for my nips poking through under shirts while in public. And because of the light color you can see pretty much everything. I bought this before getting out in public and had I noticed the lack of place to put pads where they would stay in place, I would had returned it. It’s great for support and has eyelets on top of the straps as well so it’s great for swelling but if the padding issue is important to you this may not be the bra for you.
