I saw this chair about a year earlier, it was very comfortable, but waited for a sale. It never came and bought it here.Easy to put together (maybe 4 parts , no tools needed) but firmer than I remembered. This is not a soft cushy chair but nice.

I went to Ashley furniture store and sat in the same model in the store. And it fine and comfy. But the one I ordered is hard as a rock!! Can’t understand how it can be so different. I had over 12 back surgeries figured it would be great for my back. It’s not.I went back to the store make sure it was the same model it is.Also when you move it up and down by the power better sit straight in the chair. I don’t think the pin that pushes the rod up and down is going last very long. Pretty sure it will break by next year.I would’ve return it but it came by a freight company and I’m not going pay for a return. For the amount of money it cost I should’ve bought local and paid the extra $100 so if it didn’t work out could taken it back. I thought maybe needs to be broke in. But it’s been little over a month and still hard as a rock. No cushion. Hate to tell my wife I don’t like it since it was not a cheap buy. So I guess just deal with it. But worn anyone else don’t buy this chair!!Update the bolt that pushes the feet part out keeps falling out don’t matter how tight you get it. Or putting antisense on it. So one side goes up before the other side. To fix it need drill it outretap the screw hole or try put a bolt with a nut through it of course a month after the warranty is out. I haven’t liked this chair since I bought it. Stay away from it!!!

We bought this chair a month and a half ago to use after my wife had shoulder surgery. She is getting a lot of relief using it to sleep and sit/rest. The chair is comfortable, sturdy, supportive and we have not had any issues with function. The foot rest is a little short but all in all that has not been an issue for her (she is 5’ 3”). We would definitely recommend this chair and are glad we bought it.

First of all, the chair was delivered right to my front door which was very nice as it is quite heavy.I unpacked and assembled the chair in about 15 minutes. First thing I noticed is that the chair has a strange smell. Not quite the chemical smell you normally get from some tightly sealed products with new foam or fabric. It has kind of a strange musky smell like a wet dog...that has persisted for months now. It'll go away for a bit, but comes out and catches you off guard..The chair has worked perfectly opening and closing several times a day for months now. it's not very fast, so that is kind of a pain at times. The mechanical head and lumbar pads are ok at first, but they do not always line up in the right spot. Something about the way the chair reclines that makes your body lower in the chair with your feet hanging off the end. You have to re-position your body after it reclines so you can use the headrest and lumbar.The padding and fabric are comfortable and still looks new after months of use.

UPDATE: Loved this recliner but about a week after the warranty expired, the chair stopped working. After inspection, I was appalled to find that the entire weight of the recliner mechanism where it attaches to the motorized screw relies on a small, flimsy piece-of-garbage plastic that looks like the cheapest part on earth. It snapped in three places. I've struggle to repair it multiple times and cannot find a direct replacement part anywhere online. I've emailed Ashley about this and will update this review again if/when I hear back from them. As of now, I'd recommend avoiding this chair due to long term reliability. I can't fathom how the entire steel frame attaches to the motorized screw with a crappy little piece of plastic. Boggles the mind how that huge flaw is worth saving the company $2-5 in production cost, over a metal part. If you own this chair, I'd baby the heck out of it!!Original review: Same exact model as in the local Ashley furniture stores, cheaper and free delivery. Took a week to arrive, delivery was easy and on time. Very comfy chair, love the lumbar adjustment which was the main reason I went with this option. No other chair in the price range that looks nice has the lumbar feature. I was worried that the color was more brown instead of gray as the "Mushroom" color looks grayer on every other website/photo, but on this Amazon listing it looks more brown/tan. But the chair is definitely on the grayer side, with a hint of light brown/tan - which is what I wanted. I love the look with lighter-colored stitching!The only slight complaint I have is the remote. While it functions well (it's lighted which is nice) and isn't necessarily inconvenient, it would be nice to have the controls built into the side of the chair like many reclining chairs and couches, instead of the corded remote. Sometimes you just need a quick adjustment of the headrest or lumbar and have to reach over and hunt for the remote. It would be more convenient to always have the buttons in one spot so you could find them while watching TV/movie/etc. This isn't enough to deduct a star from the rating, just nit-picking. Overall, very pleased!

Very firm but very comfortable, very sturdy no wobble at all, it’s not like some lounge chairs you sink into it and torques your back, I have a bad back for years and need a chair to help with it, do to you are able to adjust lumbar support it is fantastic on my back you can adjust the headrest forward and back to make watching tv very easy no more neck ache, If you have back issues this is the chair for youThe only issue would be is that I wish is was a rocker also but not a deal breaker for me all in all great chair

I love the chair but as you can see in the picture there is a skuff mark on the front. Very comfortable chair with several nice features.
