Q: Does the unit come with replacement screws?

I think so but it’s been a year so I’m not sure. I know I had to buy the putty tape separately. The screws may have come with that.

Q: I will be mounting this under a storage rack on the roof. What is the height when pushed opened?

I mounted this under a roof rack on my Pro Master high roof van. The cover lifts up about an inch and a half to two inched. I don't have exact measurements open but from the outside you really can't tell if it's open or closed because there is a trough around the edge. It should be noted that even during heavy rain It doesn't blow in or leak in when open. I love the vent. However the foam seal around the smoke cover is pretty cheap and when you install, if you can replace that seal with something sturdier you should.

Q: What color is the outside cover

It is a clear gray tinted plastic, and would let some light in- not as much as a frosted white though.

Q: Can this work as an exhaust fan or does it only bring air in?

It only works as an exhaust fan. Even if you reverse the polarity it still doesn't reverse the air flow because it's a radial fan, not axial. It will reduce the air flow if you run it the wrong way. The wires are not labeled + or -, so I can see how some people connect it the wrong way and get much less air flow.
