I was searching for powerful hardcover special edition everywhere and still couldn’t find it. Finally it is available on Amazon and got it at the discount price. Love the cover. Books was undamaged .

Made me cry 😁😁SPOILERSS::At least Mak dies after Adena, shortly after her death to join her and she becomes a star.You should buy this, it's like a lil side story. Doesn't really add any context to the main story, but does help a teensy bit to understand why Adena was the one who had to be killed to be crowned as victor in the TRIALS. You should buy this....

So, I read Powerless last year. I didn't want to read Powerful since Adena's already dead and I'd probably cry. But I finally worked up the courage because my friend read Powerless and I thought we could buddy read Powerful. I got stood up at the last moment because she can't handle the heartbreak, apparently. Anyway, I still read it. So...I loved the banter between Adena and Mak. My heart was breaking thinking about the inevitable halfway through the book. I wish Adena had at least gotten a chance to say goodbye to Makoto. I hope they meet each other in the sky again.To my friend who didn't read Powerful, you were right not to because I'm still crying my eyes out.Quotes from the book,‘You did the right thing.
