Hush a Bye, Baby (New Books for Newborns)

This book is absolutely precious. It features different fathers caring for their babies as bedtime draws near. An evening stroll, being carried up the stairs, a babe fresh from the bath, a diaper change, rocking and reading a book, snuggles and kisses, and the book ends with a father tenderly watching his sleeping babe. I love books that show fathers as the capable people that they are so this one wins big on that front. The illustrations are lovely and my 2 year old loves the sweet cadence of the words to this book and requests it often. 5 stars!

This book is absolutely adorable. The book features dads of different ethnicities all putting their little ones to bed.....so cute!!! I have my husband read it to my 9 month old but honestly its so cute sometimes I'll grab it and read to him myself.

We got this book from the library and my 10-month-old loves it! He looks up at me and smiles while listening and looking at the pictures. I'm not sure what it is, but he doesn't do that with every book. The words are sweet for bedtime and it's not too long, but also not overly simplistic. The cadence is nice. I like the soothing artwork and that it portrays a positive image of fatherhood. Would make a sweet gift for a father-to-be.

i had bought Hand in Hand by the same author and my daughter really liked the illustrations. that book was on mother and daughter. i wanted one that was for a father and found this. true to the other book, the illustrations here are also simple and highly relatable. my husband reads it to our daughter as part of our goodnight routine and she loves it.

I just love this book - and more importantly, my daughter does, too. We try to raise her bilingual and this book really helps with that from the beginning :) Its so lovely <3
