This thing is GREAT

I had to order a replacement as my first unit didn't work, but now that I have one that works my mind is a blur with ideas for how I can use it. This thing has great picture quality, works well in relative low-light, though I wouldn't push that too far. The FOV is nice and wide and the 3d effect does actually work. I highly recommend this camera if 3d is what you're needing! As other reviews have noted though it is an exposed PCB and has no mount. This is great for me as I have a 3d printer but if you don't, or aren't comfortable handling delicate PCBs then this might not be the product for you.

Decent camera; beware noncompliant USB connection

Functions well, decent quality image.Beware that the connector is a USB-C plug, but is *not* USB-C compliant. I suspect they've just implemented USB-A and wired it up to a C plug on the board. If you connect with a USB-C cable, it will not work at all. You MUST use the included USB-C to USB-A connector cable.

Nice little camera

This solves one of the more difficult issues with stereo cameras, and that is synchronization. It seems to work well and it worked right out of the box on my Linux computer. The image quality is pretty decent but doesn't have great low-light performance. I didn't expect it to. For a person getting into software development and stereo vision, this is a great starting point.

60fps USB Camera 4MP Synchronization USB Camera Module with 120Degree

This is obviously a bare circuit board camera module, intended to be integrated into something else or used for prototyping... It's a niche product for those who are into robots or other things were you can exploit stereo cameras to use for distance detection... That said the camera works flawlessly, plug and play to get a video feed, what you do with that video feed will send you down a rabbit hole of other software and coding... As some others have said, the power plug up top is kind of awkward but at the end of the day if you have the ability to code and use this camera to it's fullest extent you also have the ability to simply rotate the image if you need the plug on the bottom... I grabbed this for two reasons, one is that it's 60fps and although I don't need the stereo ability for this use I was curious if I could use this for a simple 1/2 speed slow motion camera... Also, I plan to tinker around and make some old-school anaglyph photos aka the 3D photos you see with the red/blue or red/green glasses...Overall it's a nice little camera module, but it would be nice if it was bundled with any software software that was able to exploit some of the features of a stereo camera so that you can start tinkering out of the box...

Perhaps for hobbyist?

This is literally a couple of cameras on a printed circuit board with no housing. So - if you were going to use it on some hobby project and wanted the flexibility to creatively mount it - then this would work great. If, on the other hand, you wanted to use it on a PC (or other similar application) - then this isn't for you.

No Way To Mount It - NOT Recommend

It is small/compact and all of the circuitry is exposed. The device arrives with ABSOLUTELY no way to affix it to anything.I does take some marvelous photography, and video. However, as for the face recognition, robotics, VR, etc. I have no idea as I had no way to statically mount it.This appears to be an AV developer's component that is to be customized to each specific individual installation and application. The direction sheet is INFINITESIMALLY MINUTE!!! I LITERALLY had to use a 10x magnification lamp in order to read them!!!

Very useful

I got this for 3d imaging. Recognized by windows, captures good images, though I am using a setup with very even lighting. Has captured some very good data.

Strange and fascinating device. More for a hobbyist or someone with a 3d printer.

I tried this on two computers and 1 was perfectly plug and play, and the other one refused to see the device on a few USB ports, but finally worked fine on the back port. The machine has had no issues with any other usb devices. When it does work it is plug and play, and it shows up in the Windows Camera app as two camera's side by side. It looks pretty cool. It's basic webcam quality but is 60fps.As others have mentioned, and how it shows up it doesn't come with a case. Design wise the only thing that annoys me is the usb port goes to the top of the camera orientation wise. I feel like it makes more sense for it to go to the bottom. I got this knowing that it's meant for a hobbyist or someone with a 3d printer so will not knock anything of the ratings for it.It's a fascinating little camera, and definitely a niche product that probably demands a niche price. It worked fine for me when it did work.
