Versatile and Well-made.
I have a Leatherman Squirt which is a great tool but I wanted something a little bigger. I wish this one was an inch longer but I am more happy with this and it’s broader capability. I wanted something between the Squirt and a full-size tool but no one makes one. This one I wish was a little bigger. I especially like the SIM card extractor with has more than than one use. Toothpick in a pinch. Tools work well and it seems solid as it’s regularly used and have had no problems even with thicker and tougher tasks. Scissors work better than I thought they would and I like the larger blade over the Squirt. Still light in my pocket. Recommend. Would not put it on a keychain so there’s no need for a loop for me. Pliers are larger which has extended my range of use over the Squirt. Overall good tool.

A great keychain multitool
I love this thing! It hangs from my keys in my pocket every day, the weight change is definitely noticeable, but very manageable. It's got a great selection of tools (you'd be surprised how much I've ended up using the sim tool on electronics to reset them) but it's overall a great design, fitting a lot of compact tools in a small package. I don't feel like any of them could accidentally open up either. I do wish the knife was locking, but it can't really be helped at this size and price point.

Best Replacement for Leatherman Squirt PS4
I have owned a Leatherman Squirt PS4 for years and carried it every day, as well as using it for backpacking. Sadly I must replace it with an alternative since Leatherman has retired this product and my Leatherman cannot be repaired. This multitool is/was clearly best in class in every respect - size, weight, function, quality. Your choices now are limited for a keychain multitool with a knife, pliers and screwdrivers - Leatherman Micra (no pliers), Gerber Dime (so-so design & quality) or this NexTool Mini Sailor. This Nextool Mini Sailor is the best alternative I have found so far and at a decent price. This is roughly the same size as the Leatherman (an 1/8" larger in each direction) and about 50% heavier, but still not too heavy. It is the only multitool that lets you open the knife and other tools without opening the pliers. That makes the tool very simple and convenient to use. This NexTool feels good in your hand, folds up small for your pocket and the quality is acceptable (although not up to Leatherman standards). I would suggest the following changes to make this multitool even better and a 5-star tool: make the flathead screwdriver wider to accommodate more screw sizes (and a combo bottle opener like the Leatherman), replace the combo can & bottle opener (hardly anyone uses a can opener anymore) with a file (like the Leatherman Squirt) or tweezers (like the Leatherman Micra).

Great lightweight multi tool for fishing.
Most important to me was that the pliers can cut monofilament fishing line. The bonus is that this is a high quality tool it's not made for heavy duty mechanicing but it's great for fixing small things and working on fishing reels or pulling hooks out of the fish and of course cutting fishing line. All of the tools are useful and some are very sharp. The only drawback is that the knife does not lock in place so be careful. Overall it's the best small multi-tool that I have found after buying about six different ones.

Well made; excellent selection of tools
[DH writes] For the price, a great bargain. Although it was too heavy for my first intended purpose, a neck lanyard knife to add to an assortment of keys and other small tools, it is still a keeper. I just cannot risk putting my Leatherman squirt PS4 on my lanyard--worth too much to just be casually stolen. I cannot afford the size of the new Victorinox Hiker I bought--which also has a superb selection of tools I want/need. SO...I put my Leatherman Micra on my neck lanyard and called it good. This has a MEANINGFUL SIZED BLADE; it has a POWERFUL Philipps Head; it has a worthwhile CAN OPENER; and a few more "goodies". Fit and finish are excellent. Size is good--just too heavy for my neck with other tools on my leather lanyard/ID-pass holder. This is a keeper.

Solid, reliable and inexpensive
Solid tool, used it for travel. Best scissors in multi tools. Doesn't include random tools you'll never use and the lock up great. Better than Leathermans at its size, especially for price.

Best value small multi tool
This is already in my top 3 small multitools, it has a very similar tool set to the gerber dime but most of the tools are better. (It is however, missing the clamshell cutting tool)

NexTool Mini Sailor Multitool Review
I doubt I'll ever totally abandon my Victorinox pocket knife multitools, but I read some reviews of the NexTool Mini Sailor and decided to purchase it for times when I need to travel lighter. The Mini Sailor is a well made quality small multitool. The unique scissors work very well as do each of the other tools. The knife blade was very sharp right out of the box, and the drop point shape is very useful. Having all the tools (except the pliers) accessible from the outside of the assembly is a good feature, and when the tool is opened up to get to the pliers, the back sides and edges of the handles are comfortable even when applying a lot of pressure. All in all, while a bit large for true keychain use, it is certainly small enough to ride in a pocket, which is ideal for "traveling light" but still being prepared for most any situation,
