We were perfectly happy with the shoe, which was comfortable and looked like a good quality shoe until the buckle the Velcro strap goes through broke in the second week of use. On close inspection the buckle is not made of metal but flimsy plastic, so it’s not surprising it didn’t last. Still trying to get it returned with no success so far but I suspect that’s due to the useless courier service employed by Amazon/ the retailer rather than the actual retailer’s fault.

I liked these shoes when they arrived and they fit my sons feet comfortably. Unfortunately these have totally fallen apart within 3 months of wearing to school every day. This is the second pair we’ve bought and both pairs fell apart. I gave the seller the benefit of the doubt and very kindly they dealt with my issue and sent this second pair.They have now fallen apart and have holes in them. Not sure how they can be sold and described as indestructible! Such a shame as they look nice and fit well but for £46, they should last at least 6 months minimum!!!I’ve now got to fork out more money for another pair to make it through schoolfor the next 2 weeks! Not pleased with these!

Bought these for my son who regularly goes through 3-4 pairs of school shoes per school year. He never outgrows them, he destroys them. I know he plays footie at break times but I honestly have no idea how he manages to break every pair of shoes he gets (sometimes with a month).So we thought we’d give these a try because of their 12 month guarantee.So far so good, he’s worn them three times so far and they still look just like they did out of the box. I can’t speak for their durabity at this point as he hasn’t had them long enough... but previous shoes have been known to show signs of damage after this period of time so I’m hopeful.I can’t give 5 stars for two reasons:1). Haven’t had them long enough to provide a proper review.2) The delivery. Although they were dispatched very quickly and arrived well before the expected due date, the shoes were unceremoniously dumped over my garden gate (in the pouring rain) and into a massive puddle. Thankfully the shoe box itself was wrapped in some very thick clear plastic although that didnt stop the box becoming a bit soggy. The delivery company was DX so I can’t blame Treads however wanted others to be aware of how the shoes may be delivered.Update (after four months of school wear)Without question the best and most durable pair of school shoes I’ve ever bought. They are still in almost perfect condition and after a quick polish today, they look as good as new meaning we don’t have to buy new shoes for the new school year. Amazing and i will definitely be buying again when needed.

After 3 days of my 9 year old wearing them the metal that the Velcro goes through has broken meaning he can no longer wear them so will be returning them. Not impressed at all with shoes that offer a 12 month indestructible guarantee. Have also read that the guarantee only covers one exchange, if this happens after 3 days they are not going to last 12 months!

I liked the shoes, they fitted well, but unfortunately they are not 'indestructible' as described by the seller. We bought two pairs and the front of both shoes practically wore off in less then 3 months. This time, one of the shoes even have a huge hole in the front (3x1cm) and my 9-year old comes home from school with soaking wet socks every day. The first time the company sent me a replacement pair and following my good experience I bought another pair, but this time they didn't even reply to my e-mail. Our Clarks shoes usually last until the boys grow out of them, I'm not happy with the quality and won't be buying Treads shoes any more.

Great Shoes, well made and good quality.. A sporty shoe that can be worn as school shoes. They look like they are going tolast as they are scuff resistant and have adjustable insoles. You can take them out for a wider fit. They also come with a twelve month guarantee. Very pleased with these shoes and my sons feet are comfortable when wearing them. Would recommend these shoes and the supplier.

My son uses shoes like there’s no tomorrow. I have bought him 3 shoes in one year which were all rubbish and cost a lot of money.These were the first pair of shoes that lasted for a whole year and still look good ! I am impressed with the quality and will definitely be buying again for next year !! You have a very happy customer :)

I love the look of the shoes, the weight of the shoes (seem very sturdy) and the promise that come with the shoes. My youngster can make new shoes look like trash after 2 weeks so 12 months would be magnificent. Its unlikely that he will stay the same shoe size for that period but the shoes are dual fitting so plenty of room for growth. I will try and remember to update.
