The legendary design of the Porsche 911 was created by Ferdinand Porche and was first produced in 1963. At first it was powered by a size cylinder Boxer engine with 96Kw of power. As the engines evolved and became more powerful the traditional method of air cooling the engines was changed to liquid cooling in 1998. In 2011 the Carrera was powered by a 350 hp (257w) 3.4L engine. The Porsche 911 is one of the most successful racing care having won major World Championship races such as 24 hour Daytona and the 24 Hour Le Mans.
