Takes the pressure off
This book is incredible! While most women are geared toward ‘doing more’ of the ‘right’ things to become pregnant and ultimately end up with so much overwhelming pressure and expectation, Spenser’s book helps ease out of that flight or fight state. Ease into receiving. Ease into fertility. She teaches how to live in joy now, which is the ultimate state of eventually welcoming a baby into. If you have been looking for help on your fertility journey or you are thinking you may struggle in the future, then I highly recommend this book!

HOPE + a practical and spiritual guide
This book is a must read if you are trying to conceive. Or if you are pregnant. Or if you are a woman! It’s full of wisdom, knowledge, wit, humility, pain (that has been processed in such a beautiful way) and hope – lots and lots of HOPE.Spenser’s personal story is very relatable and touching. It is also evidence of turning life’s lemons into a lemonade, aka post-traumatic growth. The book is a love letter to women and couples trying to conceive and you can feel this powerful energy emanating from its pages (the suggested Spotify playlist enhances the process). It is also a great practical guide on how to stay sane in the process and go from merely surviving to thriving. The book is divided into 9 chapters, they all include some practical exercises (i.e. how to feel and process emotions, how to get in touch with your nature, how to make peace with uncertainty), messages from fertility, various research and also letters from Spenser’s clients.Reading the book, I felt so connected to women, Spenser’s clients, who shared their stories. These stories a true testimony to how important the mind body work is and what makes Spenser’s approach to fertility so unique and efficient. These stories also make me ponder on the mystery of life and fertility – there is so much more to it than what the clinics and statistics (and Dr Google) say! Thus, the book feels like an antidote to the medicalised and rigid fertility industry. It is not yet another to do (and don’t) list and advice on how to ger pregnant fast, but it is a spiritual journey, an invitation from Fertility, coming home to yourself.
