Works amazing for melting down small stuff, was super easy to set up and use. I love that it’s small enough to store inside when it’s cooled down after use.

Works just as it should. We use it to melt down aluminum and whatnot and it definitely keeps its heat. After a 6 months of use, it still works perfectly, and very easy to use.

This was my first attempt at melting aluminum cans and it went well. The little furnace roared to life and was quickly up to temperature for melting beer and soda cans. Surprisingly, the fluffy insulation did an amazing job, although the outer steel housing eventually started to discolor. We quickly learned to not overfill the crucible, as that would block the hole in the lid and bad things would happen. If you are going to melt a lot of cans, plan on two people working together. One will lift the lid and pull it back while the other drops a can into the crucible. Then the first person returns the lid while #2 gets the next can ready. Once we got in the groove, it went pretty smoothly. The kit includes virtually everything you need except for the propane tank.

On about my 10th melt. Runs great. Everything holds together. I have since swapped to a higher end crucible but the foundry is fantastic!

Shipped fast and works great. I smelled a couple copper ingots with it out of stripped wire and tubing. Everything worked perfectly. The tongs leave a little something to be desired but they do work. I'll probably use my welding gloves the next time I use it. The gloves in the kit work but they aren't great. Over all though I'm very pleased and would recommend this to a friend.

Worked great. My husband made sterling heart pendents from antique spoons.

Overall functional, the include tongs is hard to grab the crucible without it slipping.

Love it. And yes for $20 you should get refractory cement to coat the fire blanket. Do that and 48hours later your good. Also cardboard between the fire brick and crucible stops it from sticking.
