Top rate fillet knife at affordable price
Nice and sharp. Double edged blade. Flexible. Beautiful wood handle. Well made. Very much like the Leech Lake Fillet knife at a fraction of the price. Very smoothly removes fish rib bones and skin from fish.

Good knife with one flaw
The knife slide slides out of the case a little too easy . Had it fall out on me .I had Velcro garden tape and used it to keep the knife in its sheath

Really functional tool
Sharp blade with great balance and flex. Note that this knife does not end in a sharply pointed tip. While some like this, I use the tip to dig at bones and clear the fillet of unwanted inclusions and have been known to break the fragile point of such blades. This knife has a heavier stub at the tip that works really well for these little removals without risking damage to the tip itself. The blade also is beveled so that it can be worked with both forward and reverse strokes when needed to finish the filleting process. All-in-all, a surprisingly functional knife at a very good price. Only time will tell how well it holds its edge, but it has survived the first couple of uses with flying colors.

This is a very pretty knife with the rosewood handle and sharp.
The tip is more flexible than closer to the handle, but that is to be expected. I've not yet tried as a fish fillet knife, but I did use it to help me finish cutting up a spiral cut ham. It is very sharp and with the long blade it made this job easy. We'll have to see how it holds its edge and how well it sharpens. I use Japanese water stones for sharpening and can get an edge that you can shave with. Different steels and different hardnesses resharpen differently. I'll try to remember to add an update when I do need to sharpen the knife.

Good knife
A good filet knife is hard to locate. The knife has to be real thin and flexible when using it. I found one years ago at a sports event, I think this person made the knives on a small scale. this knife I used throughout my years fishing however, lost the knife. Thinking this knife looks like the one I misplaced, I gambled and ordered one. This knife is close to that knife I lost. I purchased the 9 inch and gone ahead and purchased the 7 inch. Both seemed like good knives. These knives are much cheaper than the old knife I purchased years back.I did just locate my old knife, cleaned up and back in action. However, this knife is a good purchase and I will be using them also.

This is a very nice knife
I have not used this filet knife as yet, but after many decades of fileting my catch, I am very happy with the flexibility and edge. The sheath is a plastic faux leather, but that will be easily replaced. The length is long, and the taper is great. The blade is very thin and the point is interesting in that it has a gut hook on the back side. I do not know how well this will work, but it will be interesting to find out. I would definitely recommend this knife to a friend.
