Perfect Fit
Firstly...I've been wearing Meindl boots for many years and unfortunately they are not what they used to be. So I needed a new pair of boots and after lots of research I decided to purchase this product (somewhat nervous first time buyer!) The boots arrived and they are a fantastic product; in finish and design. I wear a UK size 10 and with manufacturers; the sizing may differ, but these are a true UK size 10 and fit like they have been made for my feet. Also in the box the boots come with a different in sole for a narrow size fitting, if you need more comfort. Let's hope these boots are as good as they look, feel and I'm looking forward to the wet weather.

Love them - my third pair!
This was my third pair in a row of Salewa’s Repace GTX-M so it’s fair to say, I love them.Likes:- I have average width feet and they fit perfectly; no blister heaven!- The 3F fitting system works well (note, I’d suggest buying half a size up from your normal shoe size which also allows for thicker winter socks)- Comfortable over even the longest and rockiest of hikes- The Vibram sole is fairly aggressive and is equally adept on boulder fields, mud or snow- The wrap around rubber rand is grippy and reduces wear and tear when scrambling- Despite their dainty size (a huge plus point), they are rigid enough and have the heel ridge to take C2 semi-auto crampons (or can accommodate C1’s)- They are light given their capability and can be used all year roundDislikes:- Full price can be expensive (you get what you pay for as they say)- With significant wear, they can eventually leak at the tongue- For some, they might not be warm enough for deeper snow hikesI really like these boots and just hope that Salewa keep producing them exactly as they are as I’ll keep buying them – very recommended!

Nice boots with some finish quality flaws.
Great, universal pair of walking / hiking boots with some finish quality flaws.+ The fit and size is very good (size UK7)+ 3F system for better ancle support+ Great lacing system+ Vibram soles+ 1-day delivery through Amazon Prime+ Easy replacement procedure with Amazon, new pair that should arrive within next working day- The boots were poorly finished inside (images attached) (the finish quality is much poorer than my girlfriend's £30 Karrimor boots)- The 'MULTI FIT FOOTBED' (MFF) boot insoles weren't included in the box, despite are presented on the images for this listingUpdated 29/11/2019I increased my score from 3 to 4 stars for quick reply I received from Salewa - they replaced now MFF with Ortholite insole; also you can extend the warranty to 3 years through online registration. However, I had to send 2nd pair back as the internal finish of the boot is still disappointing, comparing with other top boot manufacturers; replacement pair was also very narrow.End of story, goodbye Salewa.

They seem like the ideal all-round hiking boots - I absolutely love them
Initially I was a bit worried about reading some reviews online to say it's quite a narrow fit. I don't really have narrow feet and I've tried both the 'medium fit' and 'narrow fit' insoles that come with the boots (note: the 'medium fit' ones come already imbedded in the boots) - and they both fit my feet absolutely fine.My record with getting blisters with any hiking boots or running trainers etc is terrible. I really struggle with them however I took these pair of boots for their first test along a Hadrian's Wall walk (a bit overkill I know - but just to try them out) - and I didn't get any blisters. They are very comfortable, snug and secure and gave me no discomfort straight out of the box. No breaking in required.I particularly like the rubber-like protection going around the lower part of the uppers - it'll be ideal when I go to the Lake District. I also like the way the laces work in tangent with the '3F system' to really secure your ankle. I also like how the boots are compatible with semi-automatic crampons for when I feel ready to experience this. The grip underfoot is excellent. The boots straight out of the box feel like they've been built to last - very high quality and with premium materials. The boots of course look so cool - especially with the other colours that I wear.I will say that I was slightly annoyed with actually getting the right boots via ordering here as originally I was sent a size 11.5 - NOT the size 11 I actually ordered. This was easily resolvable but felt like such a silly error to make.Overall, highly recommended for anyone hiking on any terrain in the UK I'd say and a good starting pair of boots to get into winter mountaineering. Unless you regularly have problems with your feet being too wide for footwear, these should be absolutely fine.

Rock solid boots for moor & fells
I needed a new pair of boots for my Dartmoor and Lake District adventures. I'd never heard of this brand before, but they came recommended. Got a decent price on Amazon, so gave them a go. They guarantee blister free walks, and I've put a fair few miles in them, so far so good. My other pair of boots (Meindl Bhutan) always gave me hot spots on my big toes, and these are a massive improvement on them. For less money too.

Comfortable, quality walking boots
Fit straight out of the box, size was spot on a 43 (size 9 UK). The sole is quite rigid which is what I needed and they seem weatherproof. I've yet to test this out by spending all day out in the wet but they handled walking through a stream without any soggy socks. All in all a quality boot at an OK-ish price. I hope they last as long as my last pair of boots (Salomon) which have just started to let in water after 10 years!
