It saved my Life!
This Helmet saved my life this past weekend. Thank you so much for making such a great product. I am very happy to be able to make this review today considering that I flew over my handlebars about 10-15 feet. I will recommend this helmet to anybody that is looking for protection, quality and comfort.

Well designed, well built helmet that looks good and saved me from additional injury on the trail
Well, I didn't think I'd ever be posting a "This helmet SAVED MY LIFE!" review, and before I begin, I'm still not. But, I am definitely posting a "This helmet SAVED ME FROM HAVING A REALLY REALLY BAD MONTH!" review.I bought this a mere month ago, to replace what was (and is) an okay helmet that had no issues. I honestly just wanted a helmet that looked cooler than my basic $20 one from Costco. I accepted the fact that I was going to have spend a little bit more to have a cool helmet. Once I got in the $100 price range, the MIPS system was a must have, and this helmet has it.It fits my head much better than my old helmet. Old helmet was adjustable and was not UNcomfortable, but the Chronicle seems to actually grab on to my head and very comfortably holds itself in place, whereas my old one just felt like it was sitting on top of my head. A good way to explain it is if I was doing a handstand in these helmets withOUT the chinstrap buckled, the old one would just fall off, where the Chronicle feels like it would stay of because of the way it grabs your head. I like that.Anyway, I wore it once, no issues, don't mind seeing the visor ever so slightly in my peripheral, comfortable helmet. Second time I wore it, I got to test it out. Coming down a trail at a high rate of speed (18-20 mph), and the trail bends and I ride the outer edge of the turn. Unfortunately There is a massive root with a 5" lip I can't avoid, and I hit that sucker and the bike slows way down but I don't. I fly over the bars and come down on the right side of my body, head first, and plow dirt and rocks for about 6 feet. The skewed angle of my head hitting was just what the MIPS was designed for, and while I wasn't thinking, "Wow! I can really feel the MIPS working!" at the time, I'm sure that if I had my old helmet, It would have dug in and twisted my head and neck, causing more injuries than what I ended up with. I was alone and the adrenaline kept me from feeling too much pain, and after 5 minutes or so of taking it easy I got back on my bike and finished the last 6 miles, with little effects other than anxiety whenever I went over roots. To sum it up, I am extremely glad I had this particular helmet three weeks ago. The last scabs just fell off last night, and I'm no worse for wear. The helmet did exactly what it was supposed to do, minimize injuries to my head. That, coupled with the great fit and finish of this helmet, and I'm a Giro Chronicle MIPS believer.

Excellent helmet
God saved my life. I was literary born again in March 11th 2018. Broke my pelvis in three spots, three ribs and scapula broken, too.

Great, lightweight helmet at a reasonable price
Great, lightweight helmet at a reasonable price. The key (to me): it has MIPS technology, which is basically a flexible, shiftable inner liner that allows the outer protective layer to 'shear' or slide against that inner liner. The result, theoretically -- a lot of the twisting force of an impact never gets to the brain. The reason: the helmet's outer shell not only absorbs force when it hits, the outer shell also rotates independently of the inner liner, so some of the force is dissipated (by the twisting motion of the sliding liner inside) before that force gets to the skull.

looks good but...
I purchased this helmet after reading a ton of reviews and it was the best bang for the buck, so I bought it.I have ridden a lot with this helmet and the 2 things that stuck out almost immediately were1- there is a minimal amount of padding inside the helmet, which isn't a huge deal but when you start to sweat it pools up in the front of the helmet and drips into your eyes and face.2- the helmet has a tendency to roll forward on your head.. its natural sitting position is where the forehead of the helmet sits very low on your forehead. I moved the rear head adjustment up to its highest notch which seemed to help a little, but even then it sits tilted forward.the other problem this has is that I cannot wear goggles, as they push down onto my nose and aren't comfortable.I read the sizing chart, and got a size large (my hat size is a 7) maybe getting a smaller size would help combat these issues. but I have already bought and used the helmet, so I cannot return or exchange it.I would advise trying on this helmet at your local bike shop and see if it fits your head well BEFORE purchasing.the helmet looks great and has good venting. I also slammed my head into a tree and didn't sustain any injury to my head, so the helmet worked there .

Fit is amazing for my head
Previous helmet was the Giro FeatureFit Fit Fit. Fit is amazing for my head. I've done pretty well with fit of Giro helmets and this continues that trend. The Bell Super didn't fit well. There were two bumps in the upper rear that didn't sit well on my head. TLD A1 fit ok also, but didn't want to pay the premium. I tried the Fox ProframeFor a $100 msrp with MIPs, this helmet is fantastic. It fits super well and is nice and snug. Padding is great and makes for a very comfortable helmet. I haven't been able to ride with it in warm weather yet, but it feels like it has much better ventilation than my Feature. I think the Feature got very warm in the forehead area. I can already tell that the Chronicle has better ventilation in the same area.Only issue I have is with glasses. during the past wet month we've had in the PNW, i've tried riding with clear glasses. I'm able to ride with glasses, but I have to put them on before i put the helmet on. I think that's a problem with my glasses and not the helmet though. The arms on my glasses curve out slightly and make it difficult to slide them on with the retention system if I'm wearing it. My Oakley O-frame goggles fit well and and strap doesn't move around.Edit regarding sunglasses:. I've learned recently the glass arms are supposed to go outside of the chin strap. My glasses work fine this way.

Good service and high value helmet
Mike's Bike Shop had good service. They managed to track down a suitably bright (matte Citreon) colour for me during the covid pandemic and expedited it to me as my first choice colour was in lockdown purgatory.Ended up loving the colour, and the helmet itself is extremely comfortable. It has what I most wanted (besides being bright) which was a long sun visor, as well as some surprisingly effective venting and useful sweat channels built into the pads.As an update I can say now that the helmet works very well in the heat. The MIPS padding keeps sweat out of your eyes remarkably well.

Good helmet easy to scuff
I like this helmet a lot, great fit, lots of protection, good shade on it as well. Only con is I rubbed it gently against a wall and got scuffs on the rear of it and now they won't come off. Good helmet otherwise

Great supplier
Hemet came right away, even in a pandemic. I was worried as other reviews said the Helene didn't fit to the sizing guide and was a little smaller. I found it to be spot on. Happy with it
