Cheap spigot included
The spigot is horrible. Extremely cheap product that broke right out of the box. Need to order a replacement before the crock has even been used. Not sure if I am just going to return the entire thing or spend another $15 to buy a new spigot. Very disapointed.

This jar is a really nice accent to my kitchen
I purchased this jar to hold filtered water for use in my Bunn Coffee pot. Our well water has a lot of minerals that clog the pot up. While it's great for drinking, it clogs the brewer and hot water tank up. I wanted something to set on the counter that looks nice and this fits the ticket. I like that you can put a large water bottle on top with the ring provided if you have the space and don't mind the look. I purchased a wooden counter top stand along with the jar and it works great for my purposes. This particular jar comes with a matching ceramic lid that fits nicely. The only thing I'm really not 100% thrilled about is the spout is plastic and while it works fine for now, I can tell that it's not going to last. So I wish I would have taken another reviewer's advice and ordered a metal spout at the same time. Overall I have no reserves about recommending this jar to anyone who wants to use it for water or some other beverage to serve at parties. I'm happy with this purchase!UPDATE: I found a spigot to replace the plastic one that comes with this jar. I wish I would have ordered it at the same time as the jar. I like it but the lid does not match
I like it but the lid does not match. It's a different blue all together, would have been four stars if they matched. Also, the spigot is just ok. I ordered a stainless steel one and replaced the plastic one that came with it. Another star lost for this reason.

Acetone Smell
We washed this crock two times with soap and water. After we drank it down to where it needed to be refilled, we noticed a strong acetone smell that we could not get to go away. I know this came from china so buyer beware.

Don't buy if you're planning on washing.
This was a beautiful crock for a couple of weeks but we are using it at a school and must run it through the dish washer weekly. All the paint is peeling and the crock is chipping and after a month is unusable.

Paint chips into water!
It was nice until three months later it started chipping blue paint into the water. I treated it very gently so I know it is a defect in the blue paint. I am terribly disappointed especially since i bought it for lead safety, yet I am drinking paint chips!

It’s not stoneware.
Looks wonderful on the counter. Added ice to make the water colder, which in turn makes the vessel sweat. Placed it on a small towel and it works well. Follow the instructions for the water spout and you won’t have any leaks. It wasn’t packed well.....a box in a box. There were several scratches on the lid which the wife fixed with a crayon. Over all, good water vessel.

Not Quite Right
This crock arrived broken. But, broken or not, its not quite as advertised in the picture. This crock is not really red. It is kind of pink. And the pattern is made with brush strokes. It is not the "droplets" kind of pattern as in the picture.
