Excellent variable ND filter with a perfect amount of glow!
Excellent variable ND filter with added Black Mist filter! I originally purchased a variable ND filter for 28 quid by another popular brand, but I refunded that because of ghosting. So, I decided to pay more and give this Neewer Variable ND & Black Mist filter a go, expecting the same results... But I was pleasantly surprised to find the images were clean, crisp, and with that lovely subtle glow from the black mist. The manufacturing quality is superb, very smooth when attaching to the lens, the 67mm is a lovely fit on my Tamron lens. The movement of the filter adjuster has just the right amount of give and doesn't have the annoying constant rotation like some others. No cap included, so I paid extra for a pack of 2 lens caps to fit this, also by Neewer, which is recommended to save having to remove and attach the filter as I can see this ND filter getting a lot of use in the future. This filter is definitely in the mid-range of pricing, but after my experience with a cheaper one, paying the extra for this Neewer filter is definitely worth the money and I'm happy to recommend it!

Very nice! Want to know the lens cap size for the 72mm version? I can tell you!
This is a very nice item and, as some others have already mentioned, the rear may have a 72mm thread but the front is much larger. I will be using mine on the Ingleton waterfalls walk in Yorkshire, so wanted to find a lens cap so I don't need to keep taking it off between shots. Took a chance and turns out the Sony ALCF77S.SYH 77mm lens cap fits perfectly. Happy days!

Impressive filter
This 2-in-1 camera lens effect filter is very impressive and I feel it has added another dimension to my outdoor filming. Offering an excellent range of functions that would normally require a combination of several filters it is a great way of improving your shots. The filter provides a dreamy soft effect and a range of light-stopping power, all in a single compact design. When I have attempted this type of effect previously I have needed to carry around five separate neutral density filters and one black diffusion filter. This is far easier and less preparation. Now I can cope with bright sunlight more effectively and far easier.I have managed to add an hazy look which I feel makes my work look far more impressive and professional. The filter is compact and lightweight without compromising the effect. I achieved my desired effect far easier than ever and I am so impressed with the clarity and colours of the images.I feel that this filter is an excellent assessory for my hobby and taken it to a new level.

Another Great Neewer Filter
Very good quality black diffusion ND filter from Neewer made from very good materials and will last a long time if treated correctly.I have been using this for over four months now and so far I have had no issues, very easy to use just a case of screwing it onto your 77mm lens and then turning it to the ND range you want.Range is from ND2 to ND32 which covers a good range so it will be a filter you will have in your camera bag most of the time, has a handle I guess you can call it which makes it very easy to rotate through the different ND ranges which is a nice touch.I can confirm so far I have had no X shadows showing up on my images/view finder when I am rotating through the ND ranges like you often see with cheaper filters and I have even seen on more expensive filters than this one so this shows the quality of the filter. The black diffusion I’m personally still undecided about I can see the difference in my photos which is exactly what I want BUT so far I have not taken a photo where I really needed that dreamy look but its good to know I have it when needed. The filter is a bit on the expensive size but when you see the quality of it you will soon realise it is worth every penny.Overall I am very happy with the filter and I would definitely recommend it.

Well Made Filter, That Gives Some Impressive, Creative Results.
This Black Diffusion 1/4 Effect with ND2-ND32 Variable ND Filter arrives sealed, in a nice looking, Neewer branded, cardboard box, that would be more than suitable should you be wishing to give it as a gift. Inside the box is the filter itself, stored in a protective plastic case, along with a Neewer branded lens cleaning cloth. The filter is well constructed, has a good finish and feels durable. It screwed smoothly onto my lens directly, as well as my step-up rings without any issues. A metal finger tab on the side of the filter allows you to easily adjust the amount of light getting to the lens. This tab also helps prevent fingers from getting in the shot if you are wanting to adjust the filter whilst shooting video. Turning the filter is also nice and smooth, which again is especially beneficial if you are wishing to adjust the filter whilst filming video. In use the ¼ black diffusion effect adds a pleasant, dreamy, cinematic quality to the image. This effect has proven equally useful whether taking photos or making videos. The addition of the variable neutral density is a real bonus, as it allows for good control over the light passing through the lens and the resultant shutter speed, without the need to add or carry around multiple filters.Image quality is excellent. Whilst perhaps not the absolute best of the best, it is close, and given the price I think most people will be happy with the results. One thing to note with this filter is that in order to make it usable on wide angle lenses without vignetting, the outer diameter is larger than the inner diameter. If you want to keep this filter on your camera for any length of time, you may therefore need to get a larger lens cap to fit onto it. This will obviously add some additional cost. Given this, and the relatively low cost of lens caps, it is a pity that Neewer didn’t charge a few pounds more and include a suitable lens cap, as it would save the customer the hassle of having to buy one.In conclusion, this is another well made filter from Neewer. The idea of combining of a Black Diffusion ¼ Effect filter with a VND filter is a really useful one, and they have implemented it well.Despite this, I was tempted to drop a star due to possibly needing to get a separate lens cap to go with it. But this seems way too harsh, especially as I’ve really enjoyed using the filter, and the fact that it’s added a whole new creative option to my arsenal. So 5 stars it is.~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest and impartial opinion about it. That’s what I have set out to do, so I hope you found it helpful. ~
