Wanted some variety when using my Navage from the standard pods. These Alkalol pods cause my sinuses to drain more than the salt pods. Alkalol kind of acts like a mucus solvent. It contains a bunch of different oils and extracts. I find myself blowing my nose afterwards and expelling more mucus than just with a salt pod. They also may take getting use to. You need to get accustomed to the different sensation they cause. I mix them in my rotation of salt pods, generally at night. The biggest drawback for these is the price.

I've been using distilled water. I've gone through a gallon so far. I've been adding Alkalol to the water. Being new to nasal washing, I use it sparingly except for the Alkalol pods (I bought both pods and 16oz bottle). I couldn't find much info on what else I could add to help clear/clean my sinuses. I tried a little probiotic but didn't seem to notice anything. I even tried a drop of J.Crows Lugol's Solution 2% after being at a kid's birthday party where they were all coughing and sneezing. I don't have any existing sinus issues, but bought all this to ensure it stays that way. The Navage seems to work okay, now that I can use it without plugging my ears. It's supposed to pour the solution in one nostril and suck it out the other. Too much pressure, or suction, can cause ears to get plugged so I wiggle it about some. Previously, I used a Netty Pot ever year or so. Now, I use the Navage about once a day or two. I'm happy with it. The Netty Pot was a little messy. With the Navage I can see what gets flushed out into the discard bottom container. I prefer using the Alkalol from the bottle than the pods because I can use less. The Alkalol pods with salt are really nice though. Either one leaves a fresh and clean feeling.

Box came smashed but none of the pods were broken.

The pods work as expected. I believe in getting the genuine consumables from the manufacturer.

Works great

I thought these were the same salt pods that come with the navage. They aren't but they do have salt and an additional ingredient that I love. The best way to describe it is like a gentle version of mentholatum.
