WaterRower Original Series Rowing Machine with S4 Monitor

I spent ages looking at the differences between rowing machines. After finally deciding to avoid all cheap options, it was really down to a concept 2 or a Water Rower. Since it's living in my dining room, a concept 2 was out of the question. This water rower looks good and is easy to stow away and get out to use. The sound of the water is really great and helps to get into a nice stroke rate. If you close your eyes, you could imagine being on the water. It's very easy to get used to, I have no previous rowing experience - machine or otherwise. The workout is what you make of it and the supplied DVD helps you get a good technique in no time at all. It is really easy to put together as long as you read the instructions and I'm pleased to say, everything is in alignment on mine. I did spot though that the one used in the DVD is not put together properly and is obviously misaligned. So far, so good. The only down side it the supplied syphon pump to fill the water tank. It must have cost less than a pound to make and is very much a waste of plastic - it just doesn't work. Luckily, I had one for cleaning the fish tanks and that worked a charm. For the money, I'd expect a reliable way of topping up the water to be supplied. The warranty is one year. To get the 3 year parts/5 years frame extension, you have to register your product with Water Rower. Finally, the only reason I got this model is because Prime day made it less than the A1 that i had my eye on! It's a great piece of kit, I hope to get many years of use from it.

Excellent Rowing Machine. Took a little while to fit together, but once it was done the rower is nice and sturdy. the computer is fantastic, but i am still using the most basic of functions. To me, whoes fitness level is not that great at the moment, the work out given is intense. adding more or having less water in the tank varies the resistence, i have started in the middle and find it perfect. Best rowing machine i have ever used, its quiet enough to use in the back room whilst hte other half is in the front room watching telly an not disturbing her.When finished, its very simble to stand on its end and tuck away in the corner, and looks fantastic whilst there. Makess a great talking point when people are over!would recommend, and have done so to anyone who will listen.

Rowing is a great total body workout and this rower is fantastic. While the water makes the machine more similar to being on a boat on the river, it also makes very little noise. I can get up early in the morning and get in a great workout without waking up the family. The machine was extremely easy to put together and looks like a piece of art when it's not being used. All in all, totally love it.BTW - my husband hates to exercise and he's been on the rower several times already. He likes the fact that it is low impact and he can set his own pace. I think I've found an exercise I can actually get him to do on a regular basis!!!

Works excellent. Not too loud and very comfortable. Did not take long to put together however on removing from the box I found that the water holder had a large scratch on it and the screen had also been marked. Neither were enough to send it back or to cause damage (so far) but when I pay over £1000 I expected perfect condition. Therefore a star deducted. It is guaranteed and even though it wasn’t mentioned in the sales pitch I have sent off the guarantee to ensure it’s extended cover as described, otherwise it’s only covered for a year.Still a good machine but more quality control and truthful marketing needed.

After seeing a friend use this machine about five years ago, I always wanted one, I no longer go to the gym, but still like to work out and keep in shape after much research, this I believe is the best Rowing machine on the market. It fits into my home gym. It looks very organic, And gives a good work out if like me you want to keep in shape. and look after your heart save up and get one. like others have said in a great many reviews in the media and on the web, you will be most pleased with this machine. it seems like its built to last. If I could Id give it 10 stars. the price is fair all quality costs.The sound and look of the water makes it a joy to use.

this piece of kit is all you need to get yourself in great shape. there is little joint impact so you don't feel too sore the next day. The weightless you see is fast due to the full body workout. Assembling the item is a doddle, just go onto youtube and watch the 3D demo and pause and play etc. It took me 20 minutes to put this together and another 20 minutes to get the water in. The rower is so smooth and it feels like you are rowing in water. Display is excellent and seems accurate. Once you build yourself up to 5000m you can use the rower 3 x times a week to keep yourself trim. this unit is really fantastic and makes the concept 2 feel so industrial and prehistoric

Unable to review the product as it arrived without the wooden rails. Reorder done let’s see what comes next time .Very disappointed .

This is an excellent machine. It runs quietly and smoothly, and the sound of the water is pleasing. The electronic display has many more features than I use. The enclosed DVD was very helpful and well worth watching before assembly and rowing, with useful tips even though I've been using rowing machines for years. The cherry wood is lovely. I've never seen the base model, so I don't know if it was worth the extra money, but it looks great. It very conveniently stores upright in the corner of the room. So far, I've been using it 2 or 3 times per week for the past two months and hope I can keep that up for years to come.
